Who's your favorite Dragon Ball narrator: Kyle Hebert (DBZ) or Doc Morgan (DBZ Kai - Daima)?

I know what the majority will be... 😏

Brice Armstrong by a mile

Brice Armstrong was awesome. Had the perfect mixture of "wrestling announcer" vibe that DB narrators had during that time period mixed with the wise older man narration of the Japanese version.

Kyle. I have to say though, nothing beats the cheesy nostalgia of the Funimation dub's GT narrator, that shit drips pure 90's vibes

Edit: GT's narrator is Andrew Chandler, also the voice of Cooler

Ah yes, the pure 90s vibes of the mid 2000s.

as someone who was an adult in the late 90s and early 00s, idk if there's a real distinction here mate

Came out in '96...

Yes. The Japanese version. The English Dub was 2003-2005.

Ok... do you know what vibes are? Ya know, feeling, style? Stranger Things has 80's vibes, it started in 2016. I swear, the shit you kids wanna argue about on reddit is insane sometimes...

Ha, you’re all wrong it’s mid to late 700s in-universe vibes! No but seriously, how would you not consider it 90s vibes? Even if the dub came out later. When the media was created or what sort of feel the show is going for is the era it feels like. You wouldn’t say synthwave feels like 2010/2020 music, wander how this person feels about period dramas.

What’s even the point of arguing that anyway, other than to gatekeep your show in your way of watching it (subbed)? Not that I care how you enjoy your shows, but what a ridiculous thing to get anal about lmao.

The vibes the dub was going for was the early-mid 2000s, that's my point lmao. Funimation wanted it to feel like the typical post-Matrix American action cartoons of the time.

That edgy try hard stuff was very much a early-mid 2000s thing, though. Like distinctly 2003, which was exactly what Funimation was going for.

Kyle Hebert - Also known as Gohan/Great Saiyaman

Nope. That was Brice Armstrong.

That's a tough one. I mean, Morgan's voice is much more faithful to the original Japanese narrator, but I enjoyed listening to Hebert more ("next time on Dragon Ball Zeeeeeeeeee!") and I always hear his voice in my head when I'm thinking of DB narration.

Ultimately, I'd say Morgan is more fitting, but Herbert is more enjoyable.

Doc Morgan. Kyle Hebert made it sound like he was announcing a wrestling program or monster truck rally.

I definitely have a soft spot for Hebert, as he was the one I grew up with, but Doc Morgan really captured the adventure aspect of the series.

I mean, for me, DBZ Kai was my childhood, especially when it was on NickToons. Doc Morgan stuck with me even today.

Kyle Hebert was awesome. I never forget the climatic episode when Hebert said, "stay tuned for the next exciting action packed episode of DRAGON BALL Z!!!" Nostalgic.
