I’ve always loved the Goku vs Cell fight, but yeah… some of the animation in DBZ back then had its rough moments 😅
No hate to the original artists — the production pressure was insane and they still made something legendary. I just wanted to try my own take on one of those scenes as a tribute.

Ooooof! You did a much better job. I really disliked those bad animation day episodes. Doing a run through of Z through my Dragon Boxes and ive timed them out. They occur like every 3-4 episodes during the Battle with Freeza I think when it starts and it’s noticeable. Saiyan Saga didn’t really have this problem. It looked a lot like OG DB and beautiful especially the ending Saiyan episodes phew! I think the worst batch was in the Cell Games when Gokou and Gohan get out of the ROSAT. Gokou looked horrendous!
Yeah! I think they had 2 different artists for these different scenes... in the Cell game arc, I believe that they are showing up in the 1st and 2nd parts of each episode.
Your rendition of Cell looks over 9,000 times better than the original!

Didn't we all... 😌 My tv back then needed to be on for 5 minutes before showing anything on the screen. Had to go SSJ myself to be in time to have it up and running before the episode started!

I can't find it in the manga version... I think it was added in the anime only... or I'm not finding it at the reight chapter... it should be around #397...
