There's a video out there of a woman who is standing in her congregation, and she confronts the pastor, who had raped her from when she was 12 until she was about 14 or 15. She was with her now husband, and tearfully went through how the pastor's behavior had fucked her up, how he was disgusting, etc.
The pastor then admits what he did (he had to, really) and said that it was due to temptation, and that he was weak, and that he needed the forgiveness of Jesus, etc. and then the congregation came up and gathered around him to pray and comfort him. TO COMFORT HIM.
The woman and her husband just sort of stood there and watched all this go down. It is so deeply fucked up how nobody in the congregation thought about the victim at all.
