She could be english, german, dutch or even scandinavian
Fair and great points. Even Greek or French like she says in the original video. But not Indian or Thai
That face does not look Greek to me. I think Greeks would probably spot that she's unlikely to be a local.
Could well be Greek.
She definitely doesn't look Greek
Not the most stereotypical greek but greeks can look very western european sometimes too
You are correct, the other person is wrong. I'm Greek, she could easily be one of us.
[deleted]
I feel it’s mainly the Americans who have a stereotopic view of what a greek person should look like that she couldnt be. Europe has had a lot if internal migration and is not so homogeneous as people make it out to be. You can have blue eyed blond greeks just as much as you can have a slightly tanned Dutch person.
[deleted]
Dude not everyone from an ethnic group matches to the typical description. Imagine there are blond Greeks
Oh they absolutely can, not everyone from every country looks the same. But her complexion is very off to be considered mediterranean.
You can have blonde, blue eyed Italians, Spaniards and Greek…
Of course you can. But to say that the girl is ethnically ambiguous just because some people CAN have those traits is not right. Otherwise anyone is ethnically ambiguous if you want them to be.
She looks American as hell. Not European and definitely not Mediterranean
But not Indian or Taiwanese.
Uhhh. I think you mean, Thai. She couldn't pass as a Thai. Taiwan and Thailand. Taiwanese and Thai
Thank you I am high and stupid
I don't think she could pass as high, but she's definitely stupid.
I cackled
Let's just merge them and solve the problem, Thaiwand it is!
I think that’s a knockoff hitachi
if the jokes about ladyboys are correct, there are a lot of thaiwands out there that you wouldn't suspect.
Enough to create a country!
In fairness, she couldn't pass as either
not Greek but North Italian for ex for sure
As someone who is half Thai she is most definatley not Thai or even part Thai.
Im thai, and some ppl does looks like that.
Perhaps, dare i say- even canadian?
Are you stupid? She says she’s Ambiguous.
Or Scottish, or Welsh, maybe even Irish!
As a swede, she sure as shit doesnt look Swedish.
*White *hwhite *wwhhhite or even *wite
Her description though is completely incorrect. She’s not passing for anything other than Caucasian (Western European really). If you are Ethnicity ambiguous you are saying people may think your look doesn’t fit into a particular ethnic or racial category. An excellent example would be someone who is multi-racial and people are constantly asking them where they are from. Some of my friends who are from Brazilian would be a great example.
Scandinavia is not an nationality you racist! /s
Much love, Norwegian.
Even Finnish. Nowadays you can't say it by look.
Could be anything, really. Mummy tells me there are white people in Africa and Asia too, and all around the world.
So she could be white north-west European x 4, super ambiguous lol
....... no no no...... there are only three races...... white, black and other........ get it right
It would be funny if she did the video in those locales only
I mean, she could. So long as you don’t know what stereotypical is for those countries.
Oh my God! You just ask someone why they're white!
I did the dumbest shit back in the days:
So I met two dudes traveling in Tanzania (African country), asked them where they were from, the black dude said Zambia or a place close to it, and the white dude said Zimbabwe
I dead ass looked at him and asked "really? Oh really"
He was a good sport and replied patiently "yes, born and raised there"
The dude had the thickest Africcan accent and I went straight to stereotype. To this day I am ashamed myself from making such silly mistakes
But it's a cool story tho
How did you like Tanzania and what parts did you visit?
I went there as a volunteer, mainly just working on IT consulting, maintenance, and stuff
Don't actually get to see that much about Tanzania until like the last few days. It was really nice. Folks there are generally chill, not a lot of guns or knives waving around (a few friends got mugged, and we got interrogated by the local army...?)
The food there is good, cheap and good. Weed there is dirt cheap. Trashy weed tho. The sights are alright, very raw. If you like the peace and tranquility of the ocean undisturbed by humans and somewhat rough, it is absolutely a spot
Went to a national park to get a close up look at the animals. It was a half a day trip so we didn't really get to see too much. It was still cool to see lions just laying there though
Long story short. I'd love to go there for traveling, but I absolutely hated the working side of Tanzania. Not the best place to work. Given we are volunteers, the living standards are also questionable
I was raised there from ages 3 to 13 so i never got to see the work side of things but i can imagine it was pretty rough, school alone was brutal at times lol. Still i loved the sights, locals, foods and the 20 min walks to the beach/waterpark from my house so i would stay there if money were no issue.
If you haven’t, id recommend checking out Zanzibar too. Ive only been there once but it was a great time.
On another note, how is IT as a profession? I plan on studying for it since I’ve been into computers for most of my life.
I went there like almost 10 years ago, so the price might fluctuate quite a lot now, but I still had a fond memory of the place
And yes! Ive been to zanzibar! Great island and absolutely a story to tell! It's a very interesting story about me, 2% battery phone, and an old 100 dollar us bill that can't be used on the island... Anyhow! Great great place for traveling
As for IT. I'd say it's pretty rough out there. Cause everyone thinks they can build a project with AI. This delusion is going to last for at least a few years. So my advice would be if you're going to take a few years to study, then you will be right on the cliff of AI bubble breaking. Perfect time to enter the job market. If you are only trying to get a degree, chances are it will be easier for you to just get an easy job and start there. There's no point getting a quick degree because no one will hire a 'college kid' when "AI could do better"
Focus on what you love about computers, be an expert on that (do some content streaming as well, just video record whatever shit you're doing, dev log of sorts). People will eventually find you
Great! Thanks for the insight. Content creation really is a good marketing tool, if you know how to use it. I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind going forward.
Best of luck out there
As a thai person, "Girl, what??"
I think she meant that as Ladyboy in Thailand
Ethnically ambiguous? More like Conspicuously Caucasian©
If you're an average looking white person, most European countries you'll blend in to some degree(not saying they all look the same before some angry Greek come here for being compared to a French), unless we're talking up north where everyone is taller and blonder. As for India and Thailand... she ain't fooling nobody 😂😂😂
If you only see the world as black and white you, of course, don’t know what “ethnically ambiguous” means.
She actually doubled down in the duet woman's comments lmao
What did she say?
Quote:
Hi everyone video creator here 😉 I'm HONESTLY not making this up.. it happens to me in every country I visit believe it or not 🤷🏼♀️
Oooooh, I think I get it now! She means wherever she goes, people speak to her in the local language first (shocking, i know), before she says she does not speak the language.
Yeah she does look similar to some indians and Greek people ik. Ofc I understand people from both countries aren't usually that pale but that doesn't mean there are no pale Indians/Greeks.
This sounds like a joke playing on the other common reels of darker skinned east asians doing this
I used to get mistaken for a German in Germany. But that was because I have a German last name and wore a leather coat instead of a bright American parka. And because I'm pasty white.
I'm a pasty white freckly Irish guy but have been told I dont look Irish by people when I'm travelling. I feel like I fit the stereotype of a big potato headed Irishman, but other people were like, "Nah! you're [insert nationality here]" (usually a Nordic or Eastern European country). It's weird. Have even had people try to talk in their native language to me after speaking English to my family who were standing directly beside me
Rage bait
I don't think I look particularly ethnically ambiguous, but other white people always tell me I do.
Then I went to Miami, and all of the Spanish speakers would automatically start speaking Spanish to me, which I only know to a high school level. Once they saw what I can only imagine was the "deer in the headlights" look from me, they would switch to English. If they heard my name first (a common Spanish name), they would be genuinely surprised I didn't speak Spanish. I started to wonder if I'm more ambiguous than I thought lol
Are you sure about that?
Thai???????? Maybe if she married into it or something
She didn't get the memo that slavs are considered white now
Who's goddamn white woman is that?
I guess it depends what countries she is referring to... somewhere in northern Europe maybe?
She's not ambiguous in Africa or most of Asia.
I have this to a degree. In reality I am a mix of White, Native American and Spanish. Iv gotten asked if I’m Italian, Greek, middle eastern. An Indian woman asked me if I was Indian once. After starting to date my now wife who is Asian people often give me a confused look and ask “are you Asian too?”.
It's pretty common for scammers and peddlers to say stuff like "you look like you come from around here" to tourists, in an attempt to lure naive people in.
Perhaps she had this line said to her multiple times, so she started believing it.
I mean... I have no Idea what kind of European she is.
As an Indian, I am offended on behalf of my country
When you have rich parents…

This is like when a guy pointed out how his brow shielded his eyes from sunlight at that particular time of day and place, thanking his genes for not needing sunglasses
My ex wife was the opposite.
She was brunette in Brazil, black in Portugal and white in Cabo Verde (Africa).
The op tiktoker misspelled "ethically."
She's also seen as, Jamaican, Korean, and even Persian. Girl stop.
She fits right in! If I didn't know, I would have guessed she was Thai. Lol
It's like people who say they don't have an accent.
My accent is ambiguous; it places me within a 30 mile radius. People in shops 300 miles away can even understand me, when I speak slowly and loudly. I'm very cosmo.
Jealous is definitely in the room with her though
My coworker is legitimately ethnically ambiguous, this chick made me giggle.
Bush whiter then 2 ply.
I’m not sure if it’s the quality but this looks AI
As a brown girl who has been called Ethnic Tofu by my friends, I’m embarrassed for her.
I’m Hispanic and have been mistaken for a Native American, a resident of every European country I’ve visited (until I open my mouth and speak) and a few South Asian and Polynesian cultures as well. The one that made me laugh hardest was when someone told me, “I thought you were just a really tan white chick.”
Maybe for an albino african
She could be a guy, but I wouldn't confuse her with an indian
She meant, everywhere that matters
