The amount of comments about auto tune - no one realizing it’s John Mayer (a fkin musical legend) is hilarious to me.
Jon Mayer is the guy with the microphone and the autotune was added by the guy who plays the drums.
Also there are many popular musicians who cant hit a note and use autotune. Does not make the criticism invalid.
I think if you can make a killer, catchy tune - all power to you. Who cares if there’s a little bit of robotic accompaniment? Huge fan of avenged sevenfold - a band you’d least expect auto-tune - and they make it WORK.
