One shot, one shot, one shot, one shot, one shot, one kill
Shoot. Miss. Shoot again. Miss. Shoot again. Miss. Shoot again. Hit.
“First try!”
And then I ate a popsicle.
And then I passed out in the snow.
Then I woke up. Then I reloaded. Then I fired. I hit something, but it wasn't what I was aiming at, so I guess I missed.
One deag.
Widows on my team can't even get the assist. Widows on the other team hard carry their team.
Widowmaker on the other team will blow your head off the moment you leave the spawn room, it's ridiculous.
Scary un patched Honzo prepping that scatter arrow at the start of a match....
Now they've got storm arrows line-ups since they bounce
Just sombra on her ass until they change.
What's this about Sombra on Widowmaker's ass?
You change to sombra, an dedicaste the whole game to ruin widowmaker's
I appreciate the advice but actually I was making a porn joke.
A truer truth has never been spoken.
Widow gets assists passively with her ultimate.
In Overwatch, I don't think you get an assist from just doing damage, which makes OP even funnier.
My literal last game of Overwatch was because of a Widowmaker on my team. I was behind her as Zenyatta when an enemy Genji hopped up the wall and spooked our sniper, causing her to pop off a sniper shot, which the Genji deflected square into MY head, hit the Widowmaker with three shurikens and a dashing slash killing her and earning him POTG.
its okay its recorded so the widow definitely felt shameful
Why are you showing pics of porn characters in a gaming subreddit???
I'm better off using Widows sniper has a machine gun than a sniper
I will never forget my best online match ever was in Crysis 2 multi-player where I got a 25 to 2 kill/death ratio using the sniper rifle in that game. I was doing so well, someone tried to kick me from the game. Good times.
It reminds me of playing songs and people trying to kick me because I was cheating. I was "looking there walls and appearing out of nowhere"
For the uninitiated, sombras passive let's you see low hp targets there walls and had an invisibility ability.
It was the same for me in Battlefield Bad Company 2 where I'd snipe with the pump shotgun. I especially remember Atacama Desert where I would kill people from A to C flags. People would accuse me of cheating too as they probably didn't understand the concept of slug rounds.
Mine was on Black Ops 2. Steam had a free weekend for the multiplayer. Didn't really have money back then to play so I wanted to play the mp.
Mind you I played a fuck ton of BO2 offline with bots. My favorite build was the ballistic knife + tomahawk combo. Would just run long matches on the hardest difficulty on Nuketown 2025.
Went into a couple deathmatches and got the same build going. Went regularly 30-50 kils 5-10 deaths. Everyone called me a hacker, never felt more proud 😁
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Using the M40A1, I used to get so many 1 shot kills. The amount of salty hate messages I used to get was so hilarious. The best of times.
these two are the true pioneers
Third panel is missing the ms paint teardrop on widowmaker but otherwise this is nicely designed
I never got into overwatch almost specifically for this reason. In TF2 I was a menace with sniper one shot one kill basically every time. In overwatch I could head shot people with full charge and they didn't die. Really turned me off to the thing.
I found TF2 super difficult for sniping, maybe because everything moves faster than in a game like CS. I was a menace with projectile weapons like the Huntsman and even the Syringue Gun, but utter trash with the actual hitscan sniper rifle basically missing those 9 shots for 1 assist unless there's a Heavy.
Virgin modern sniper VS chad Martini-Henry
One shot, one kill, and a hell of a lot of smoke.
That cinematic always reminds me of 2016 Overwatch.
Brighter days.
When I was younger, I used to play Unreal Tournament on a crappy 15" CRT monitor. I could headshot opponents with the sniper, no scope, easily. When I upgraded to a 19" CRT, there was no stopping me. Bastards were ganging up on me to take me down, and going for the sniper rifle location to deny me.
Joke was on them, my minigun game was on point as well. XD
Ah I can still hear the announcing saying HEADSHOT clear as day. I still love playing Unreal Tournament 2004. I even play it on my Steam Deck on occasion haha.
MONSTER KILL, MO-MO-MO-MONSTER KILL!!!
I used to love seeing how fast I could get him to stutter as I racked up kills.
Nah its miss shot-start to cock the gun-mowed down by ar
I used to be an ungodly sniper in Halo. Best round I ever went was on Blood Gulch in Spartans vs Elites mode in Halo Reach. Two of my teammates left so it was 4v6. We ended up tying at 88 kills each. 54 of those were from me and my sniper rifle. I used the active camo and hung around in the cliffs, fading back whenever anyone tried to flank me. Bouncing back and forth between the bases to replenish my ammo.
One shot stuns.
I have so many skins for her I never use because I'm terrified of practicing x.x especially when you get a mercy who just follows you around boosting the streesss
if a Mercy is boosting Widow, shoo her away she's just bad
Sometimes it's six shots one kill
"Sniping is a good job mate"
What ever became of this franchise? Glasses girl here was super popular one day and then kinda faded away.
We're in Overwatch 2 now.
the franchise got less popular, has some downhill period but its doing well enough recently, glasses is Tracer and purple girl is Widowmaker and they are both popular not because of the game itself wink wink
Oh she is popular alright :)
Reeks of bot
Hey at least you can hit people.
Yeah, so, the way you fix this is by playing long-range auto fire characters. Works wonders for me.
This is why the AWP will forever be my favorite sniper in any game. Truly a one shot, one kill o7
Widow's shots still do damage even if they don't kill and it's a team game
Meanwhile in OW1 launch Zenyatta was unplayable because a fully-charged Widow bodyshot would kill him.
I always get killed first in those games
I miss playing hardcore modern warfare back in the day
God, this trailer makes me nostalgic. We were all so excited for Overwatch back then.
Who are these characters? A new Blizzard IP?? But nowadays I can’t bring myself to care about the characters. A universe that once felt so full of promise is now just so stagnant and wasted.
Way back in Battlefield Bad Company 2, my most played class was Recon.
But I went in close combat with VSS Vintorez since it was full auto high DPS. Still was considered a sniper rifle with NO cross hairs outside of scope, I got good at aiming it with practice.
I still have a screenshot somewhere of platinum medal and 1000+ kills on it. Also platinum C4 where most Recon use mortars from distance.
The Battlefield V Anti-Materiel Rifles would like to know your location.
I peaked in masters and their are plenty of widows running around at the higher levels handing out one shot kills and dominating lobbies
I’ve always sucked at sniper anyways
Snipin’s a good job mate
Don't like it? Simply stop playing these pastel kiddie games with a high TTK.
AWP never has this issue.
???
Pretty simple. If there's a sniper rifle in a game and it isn't a one shot kill to the chest or head, it's a shit game and feels bad to play.
Makes me think of titanfall xD you nail a titan with 2 mags and then some ahole from your own team shoots once and poof, points are his. Almost ate my KB.
Battlefields 'assist counts as kill' was a legendary introduction.
Battlefield did a good job of making my useless ass feel vital to the cause.
Battlefield, to this day, has my favorite system ever for ranking up. “Points per hour” is a phenomenal system that has your rank actually reflect your skill level
I have played hundreds upon hundreds of hours on BF, but what do you mean with rank reflecting your skill?
“Points per hour” is a metric that doesn’t let you slide by. You have to maintain it, and it’s a direct reflection of how much impact you make in your game, because points=win. If you have high pph, it means something.
Meanwhile you can be prestige 10 in call of duty and still suck ass, because all it means is you play a lot, not that you necessarily improve
Woops wrong comment
