I highly recommend people look into some of the extended lore for this game. The Book of Joseph is available to read online (I was lucky enough to get a physical copy), and it sheds so much light on the characters of the Seed family and makes the game vastly more interesting when you go into it with that knowledge. Far Cry 6's expansion also does a phenomenal job exploring this character in particular.
I know it's Far Cry and that series has never been perfect, but this game (and its surrounding content) resonated with my wife and I extremely well and I really want others to be able to see it the way we do now lol
Far Cry 5 is fucking fantastic.
Sure, Ubislop fell off hard in the following years. But FC5? That shit still lives rent free in my head today and the soundtrack is a fucking jam.
Ubisoft has for their entirety really hit the nail on the head for music. Collaborating with Hammock for those ethereal tracks is a 1000IQ decision.

Never commented on a cosplay post or even really understood the culture (until I started gaming lately in life), but these are incredibly well done. The lighting really captures the vibe of the game.

Far cry 5 had its flaws but I loved it. Also the dialogue between the monkey king liking hic with a bazooka and the lady with the bow was pretty funny.

If you have a series S Xbox, give this a whirl. It got a huge uplift thanks to a 2023 update. Prior to that it was running a lower res Xbox one version.

It's probably my favorite far cry, liked it more than 4 and 6. About on par with 3.
What did you not like about it?
I feel the same. 3 and 5 were amazing. 4 and 6 were ok.
FC5 Co-op with my brother is a goddamned riot
Yeah, 4 overall was decent, but definitely less interesting story than 3, I did like how colorful it was given the cultural aesthetic. Troy Baker did great as Pagan Min, but you just don't see a whole lot of him. But Ajay was less interesting than Jason IMO.
6 was pretty good story wise; but similar issue to 4, Giancarlo Esposito performance was great, but he was underutilized IMO. I did like Dani a lot though; particularly F!Dani's performance.
5 just hits right; the story is even better than 3 IMO; each of the villains are compelling; and I don't feel they overshadow each other too much. The benefit of a silent protagonist is that there is no room to dislike them or compare them to a previous performance.
Yeah, 5 being true full co-op unlike the constant drop in/out for strongholds/missions only of 4 sucked. Glad they kept that for 6.
I liked it. I much prefer the other FC games I've played, but this was far from a bad game overall.
