Oh shit there was a season 1? Any good?
Dude this show was awesome. Super funny with enough story to keep you hooked. I genuinely didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, now I’m anticipating the S2 drop
Nobody thought it would be and the trailers looked ehhh and then the show was great. It was all setup for this though.
It has campy horror movie vibes, mixed with a good sci-fi channel show. I loved the games as a kid and it hits the marks well, though it’s all pretty different. Good watch and I’m looking forward to another season.
I was ready to hate on it but I actually enjoyed the hell out of it. it feels like a fun show from the 90s that doesnt take itself too seriously. lots of nods to the games even if the first season doesnt have an actual competition. looks like this 2nd season is set to be much closer to the games, im excited!
As much as my inner prankster approves of starting a TV show on "season 2", I don't think the network would allow them to get away with that.
Even if it opened with a line about the previous season having explained the first eight Plans From Outer Space.
Its pretty good, dont go in with expectation because it dosnt take itself very seriously and you shouldn't either.
It's good, and Anthony Mackie looks like he's having the time of his life in it
Never thought I would live to see Sweet Tooth getting character development and I am not mad about it.
I like Will Arnett, but damn, it's a shame they're just using Samoa Joe for his body... I think Joe would have been a great voice for him
yeah this is my only real complaint with the show it just feels weird and off
Joe doesn't do the voice?
No, it's Will Arnett doing the voice
There was a season one?
I just find it so weird that a game series that I thought was kinda done and dusted spawned a live action show and a second season and it seems to have gotten some good reviews.
Also Axel being so true to his game counterpart is quite cool. It's dumb but in a fun way.
And in response they cancelled the Twisted Metal game in development 🤦🏻♂️🤣
AXEL BABY YEAH! Was my favorite character in TM2. My brother hates me for playing him. He was always Twister and my ult>your ult brother. Lol.
I'm looking forward to this
Looks fun, cautiously optimistic. The first season ended up being decent so hopefully they can keep going. Glad we're getting Axel and Dollface
The fact that there's no game to accompany this is still a tragedy
Cool cool, very nice, now let’s see that Twisted Metal game
As long as that game lets you play as every character. I hated the PS3 game because you had 3 characters only
Honestly had a lot of fun with the first season, excited has hell to see Anthony Carrigan as Calypso and Axel looks amazing haha
They really said that you want plot with your explosions? We got you.
NoHo Calypso
NoHo Calypso kicks so much ass.
Carrigan is such a ridiculously underrated actor
Can't wait to see him in Superman!
Honestly the only reason I really want to see it. He was also in Death of a Unicorn, was great to see
Downvoters why? They must have bad taste and don't watch great shows.
I wasn't aware there was a season 1.
If season 2 gives Axel a redemption arc, I am all in.
Season 2???
I didn't even know there was a season one lmao
The first season was a blast and a really hit with diehard fans because of the incredible amount of Easter eggs. Met characters from all through the games.
Hoping for the best for season 2.
Wasn’t sold in the beginning but definitely will give the first season another go
Man, I initially thought a new Twisted Metal was on the way. This is cool, but not as cool as a new game would be.
It appears I'm in the minority. I thought it was mostly bad, with the exception of Sweet Tooth. That was one of the few aspects where I felt a sense that the team had a clear vision of what they wanted to do with the character.
Despite how much I didn't like the show, I always appreciate a show getting the opportunity to actually find its footing, cause it's rarely in the first season.
Please stick to the TM soundtrack for trailers, it gets us so hyped and its a missed opportunity.
I’ve been wanting to watch this but thought it got canceled - didn’t wanna waste my time.
Really excited for the soundtrack, each needle drop in season 1 was absolutely perfect for me.
Someone said Anthony mackie always looks like he knows something about you
It's about time!
Sweet Tooth got his suit from TM3 haha .. this looks very fun, can’t wait.
I will buy a PS5 for a new twisted metal
The monkey's paw curls. You get a new Twisted Metal but it's a free to play live service battle royale.
Please no
They tried years back reviving the series, but it just didn’t hit. Not that they are bad games, it’s just that gamers taste has changed. Same reason area shooters like quake and UT won’t be as big as they were back in the day.
I am unreasonably excited for this.
Am I the only one who thought the first season was mid? It felt like it was riding the coattails of the success of The Last of Us show, complete with a story that had a really similar plot outline to the Last of Us except it’s in a Mad Max world instead of a zombie apocalypse. Like, think about it: a man and a woman traveling cross country to make an important delivery, while encountering roving gangs of bandits and psychopaths? I’m more hopeful about the second season now that Calypso and the actual tournament are going to be the main focus
Not enough car combat in season 1...hope they fix that
Said the guy that didn't watch this trailer he's commenting under, lol.
Lol, they fooled me in season 1 already.
Yes I watched the trailer lol
Meh
I thought I’d hate the first season but ended up loving it
I’m right there with you, I saw the trailer for the first season and thought it looked awful. But then I started seeing post on here by people saying it was actually pretty solid so a few months later I was bored with nothing to watch so gave it a shot and was very pleasantly surprised. It helps that show knows exactly what it is
Main problem is it was ALL setup. The actual Twisted Metal thing got pushed to Season 2. But glad to see it is actually happening.
I don’t see that as a problem at all. They got a whole season for setup and world building while still having a good story line. Now they can have a whole season focusing on the actual games rather than trying to cram both into a single season. Really looking forward to season 2!
It was a problem because I wasn't convinced season 2 would actually happen! Glad to see it is.
They actually ended making the first season? I thought that thing died before even airing. So what is even happening in this show that there's a season 2 and it looks like all the Twisted Metal characters are still alive after an entire season? Do people just not die in giant explosions during a car battle royale or did they not even start in season 1?
Absolutely this, I really loved Sweet Tooth xD
Same, thought he looked cheesey, and he was, but in a great way
Yeah but thats kinda spot on, it was a franchise from the 90's I believe and that was a decade of cheesy nostalgia :3
