It's been so long that I can't remember which one was my favorite. I know #2 was better than the first purely due to the introduction of manuals. I think THUG was my favorite, but I can't remember LOL.
Of the pre-THUG games, THPS 3 was my favorite. But yeah THUG was awesome.
THPS2 was my favorite. in fact it was the first THPS game I ever played. I played it on PS1 back in the day with a buddy after school a lot.
I have the remake of that too.
They handed it to me at Best buy, rang me up and before I tapped my card they pulled it back. 'I'm not sure I can sell this to you yet, what's today's date?'... I was this friggin close
I actually preordered mine on Amazon and my shipping notification actually said "shipping on Friday!"
and then I looked into my mailbox and there it was!
I can hear this picture.
I suck 3x as much as I did when us sucked the first time around
Straight whites rejoice
Iām so glad you put the name of the game in parenthesis. I never would have known what it was.
I know this is meant to be irony, but I put it here because the submission page said that the title of the game should be included in the post title.
Blind people who use screen readers will thank you.
We will, aye.
The fact they are still releasing games on PS4 is hilarious to me lol
Well considering the PS4 has sold 117 million units and the PS5 is at 77 million, and developers need to make money to continue.... I don't blame them
I bought it yesterday too on ps5 š¤š
Edit: why so butthurt you gotta downvote. Plus for you butthurt kids I still have the original Tony hawk 2 for ps 2 and my ps2 š¤·š»āāļø
If I could play the Tony hawk games with the controls from skate 3, id be a happy camper.
then it would no longer be thps
Yea OP sounds like a child at recess "imagine zelda but with dark souls bosses"
You sound unimaginative. Not everyone just settles for whatever is handed to them.
The kids at recess who had thoughts like that are why the world progresses forward, knuckle dragger.
How do comments like this gain traction?
Its so obvious that the mechanics of SKATE aren't designed for the levels of THPS.
It wouldnt work
I would happily try over having to use the THPS controls ever again. I cant stand them.
the quite easy and straight forward controls of THPS versus accuracy issues using a joystick for tricks?
I mean come the fuck on. Controls are pretty tight for the THPS and even more so compared to skate.
i love skate, i've put so many hours into skate 2 and 3 and have played the skate alpha a fuck ton since they started doing the alpha.
Is it "realistic" controls for skating? No but they are so much tighter and easier than Skate's controls have ever been.
skate 3
I never played any of the skate series that was during my call of duty phase I think (yes im old come outside nerds lol jk) but I heard they was very realistic at the time and pretty good
The games are solid, controls were different and realistic. They have a steeper learning curve, not as exact as THPS and honestly can be frustrating trying to manipulate the joy stick just right so it actually does the flip trick you want.
If you have PS3/Xbox360 the games are super easy to find second hand. I think skate 3 you can still by on xbox marketplace. They recently finally removed skate 2.
Skate 3 is so good you should just download a digital copy of it. I still keep it on my hardrive and play it occasionally with friends. Theres sometimes some issues getting the online features to work, being that it's a bit older, but for the most part everything still runs correctly. Strongly recommend getting it if you like skating games.
Goddamnit, yes.
Still waiting for THUG to get off the board and hopefully use keyboard to chat ingame. Idk why they haven't added that part to this game yet.
The fire fights/graffiti/trick attacks/KING modes were so much fun. Moscow, Manhattan, etc.
