Its too hot upstairs so I'm sleeping on an air mattress on the main floor. My front and back doors are wide open, nothing but flimsy screen doors without any locks. What's the best horror movie I can watch before I go to sleep?
The strangers
Hell yeah!
The night house
Seconding The Night House.
I completely fell asleep 10 min in. Ill be watching it much earlier to ight under the same circumstances.
I choose this one because out of all the suggestions, this is the only one I havent seen yet.
That’s such a great film.
Inside. The French one
Arachnophobia
Gonna wake up with a tarantula on your face.
That movie is so good.
You know how other people will get nervous when showering that a stranger will attack them? I don't do that but every so often while showering I have to look up to make sure there are no spiders coming down at me because of that movie.
Uh, might want to check out Night Stalker about Richard Ramirez.
Fuck you are brave as hell !!!!!
If you think about it, a thin sheet of glass is really not that much better than a screen. We're all just one window break from having the worst night of our lives.
Sweet dreams!
Good thing most of us are good.
When we first moved into the old Victorian we currently live in my friend wanted to take out the beautiful stained glass windows around the door because someone could break it and unlock the door. I just pointed at the floor to ceiling windows next to it and said I don't think that's will stop anyone trying to get in.
Yahbut like where tho? We sleep out here on the Big Island in a tent with a busted zipper...
This is such a crazy comment because I live on Oahu It's just weird we are so close
I do too…
We had problems with a couple rats the past couple weeks but that's it...
That's worse 😱😱😱😱😱
Cane toad gonna get you.
I hope you have a dog.
No because they could get out!
I hope OP has screens to keep the bugs out at least lol
I do but shes at my ex's right now. She's is pretty reactive though and will bark at everything, it diesnt lend to a good night's rest.
Oh I’m sorry. I used to have a dog that was a silent sentry. One night I came home extra late from work. She was upstairs guarding my kids.
I came up the stairs but she didn’t smell me yet and I didn’t hear anything. It was dark and I didn’t turn on the light.
All I saw was a dark shape standing at the top of the stairs, like a black shadow. That’s when I said something so she’d know it was me.
After that I always knew she’d be protecting the house, she didn’t easily bark at things, but that was her breed I think.
My daughter has a dog that talks a lot, it loves her a lot and is protective but is quite vocal.
Hostel
Hereditary if you haven't seen it
Are you in Canada?
I am but dont let our northern position fool you. There are parts of the country where AC is a must have.
I meant the leaving windows open and not being worried someone will break in
That's a thing most of us Canadians do
Luckily I've never been a victim of that nor is it something that plays on my mind, obviously 😉. Although there have been times where I've heard things that were of concern but out of sheer laziness, I would just leave it to chance that I wasn't going to be murdered.
That's so relatable
Inside (2007)
Just make sure your feet are under the covers. Then the monsters probably won't get you.
House of 1000 corpses
Cujo, or horror adjacent Wake In Fright. Both are hot weather misery movies.
Terrifier 2
No AC?
No, its a dry heat where I live and it only gets really hot 3 maybe 4 weeks out of the summer. The real issue is how hot the house gets during the day and this is the best way to get the house cooled down so its not unbearable in the early evening.
Any of the home invasion movies
Hush.
Seconding Hush.
