A man breaks up with his fiancée and goes to a village to find peace and calm. At first, everything seems normal. The villagers dress like the Amish and live a simple life. But soon he realizes that the people believe in a strange god, and they perform rituals — hanging people and dancing as sacrifices for this god. Everyone is always laughing in an unsettling way.
When he understands what’s really going on, he tries to escape, but they imprison him. After several escape attempts, he manages to save a little girl, finds an old car, and drives away. While escaping, he sees a small wind-up doll suddenly moving on its own in the road. As they stare at the doll in shock, a truck suddenly crashes into them — and they die.
Hm... Population 436? Lemme look it up to be sure. It's been a while.
Edit: Yep. That's gotta be it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_436
Thank you very much yes it is this
The original version of this is far superior.
Okay. What's the title of it? I don't see any indication it's a remake.
Oh, I might be wrong. It was British in my memory.
Edit: I was thinking of this weirdass French movie, Calvaire. They are in no way related, lol.
Good movie,
I can't stand Fred Durst but he actually does a pretty good job in this.
Don't think I've ever seen the words "Fred Durst" and "good job" in the same sentence before.
It wasn't easy to type, trust me.
Fred Durst does a good job being super douchey.
It was also a pretty bad movie. Direct to video.
