I love Wyatt Russel. I think he's tremendously slept on as an actor and just slowly gains notoriety as a future heavy hitter. IMHO the male counterpart to Florence Pugh.
I loved him in playtest (black mirror)
While not the best show, I did enjoy him in Monarch
Yeah. His plot was the best part. The present day plot sucked
I liked him in the shitty movie about a pool that kills people
Monarch was fantastic what you talking about
right!! i loved how they did the casting between him and his dad. plus the story is kinda good!!
Monarch would've been fantastic had they either entirely ditched, or reworked the modern day side of the story to be on a similar quality level to the past time storyline. It was still good, but had way more potential that was dragged down by bad performances and writing in the modern day storyline, which unfortunately was 2/3rds of the show.
Lodge 49! Somebody watch it!
I loved him inâŚ..IMDB
What is IMDB?
Iâm pretty sure everyone knows him from that
Nah I know him from 22 Jump Street
Ahhh I just realised, yeah he was good
God yes, one of my favourite pieces of television ever.
I really hope he gets some time to shine Doomsday. I feel like they've get to have a really REALLY good emotional moment with him and another character. They brush on it a bit in * with his family and stuff but he doesn't really get that heart to heart that Yelena and Bob do, and I totally see it coming from someone not on the *, maybe it's Ben or Clint or even Bucky who really gets him to open up and be real with himself.
You think so? I think he's probably only going to have a few lines and stay with the B team that stays back to protect earth
I mean, from this photo I'm gonna guess he's not on Earth.
I mean realistically, no, it's just wishful thinking. There's so many character interactions that could be so good but just won't happen bc you just can't make every interaction happen when there's like 40 characters in a movie
I agree with you I think Walker is one of the best characters they've introduced in a long time. I wish he has a central role but somehow I don't think they will.
Mhm he's a character who still really needs to deal with his demons and shortcomings, the way Tony and Thor did in the Infinity Saga. There's so much to do with the way he clings to the idea of Captain America even as he becomes more aware that he doesn't live up to it and likely never will
I hope they have a good emotional moment but it gets twisted and ruined in a way turning him further into this US Agent anti hero role, aka punisher. Maybe not as dark as Castle, but getting there. A point where he no longer cares about being the hero the ârightâ way, and means more into an âany means necessaryâ type role.
I could see it having something to do with his failures as a father and Reed dealing with whatever role baby Franklin plays in the movie.
Exactly, the way I see it the whole US Agent arc is about realizing he cannot be what Steve Rogers was or even what Captain America is, he has to find his own niche and his own way to be a "hero" or whatever he wants to be
If you want to see him play a maniac, Under the Banner of Heaven is the way to go. Stacked cast fr.
Definitely reminds me of his dad, which is great
He doesn't look much like his dad, but in Thunderbolts, he sounded just like his dad.
I need a Big Trouble In Little China legacy sequel NOW.
Yea his voice and mannerisms are spot on for his dad
Florence Pugh is not slept on, she's critically acclaimed and has been nominated for an Academy Award.
I just cannot imagine the direction this movie is going to take
Yeah with the other Avengers movies we could at least make a guess based on what was known - but with "Doomsday" we are mostly in the dark untill a Trailer of any sorts gets released.
Edit: I said make a guess - not know for sure what would happen...
Really? They didn't give much away about Endgame until the last month of marketing. I agree with you about the others, though.
But Endgame we fundamentally knew that the story was going to be about the remaining Avengers trying to undo the snap & making their last stand against Thanos. With Doomsday we just know that they need to stop Doom but we have no idea why or what heâs doing.
I mean, we know that Doom likely succeeds because theyâll need to setup Battleworld for Secret Wars.
It honestly sounds like it won't be good. I hate to be a downer, but re-writes in the middle of filming, no films that tie in (maybe F4 will, Thunderbolts kind of did) and being greenlit on the back of your previous main villain being in the news for DV... Just doesn't sound like a recipe for a winner.
rewrites like this are kind of the Russo brothers MO, not a cause for concern this early on in my opinion
Yeah I totally guessed theyâd time -travel, have a 5 year time jump that never gets undone, and that Thor would get fat
I feel like the time travel was guessed but nothing else
A combination of 1985 and 2015 Secret Wars with a unique Russo touch would be my guess
I'm hedging my bets on this one. Think we'll get some version of Time Runs Out mixed with Avengers vs X-Men for Doomsday then Secret Wars will be a combo of the two runs with a little bit of House of M reverse no more mutants at the end
I would also guess a touch of Children's Crusade if the Champions are in it since that's like, the quintessential Young Avengers story.Â
Fuck it, add a little Fear Itself in there sprinkled with just a touch of King in Black
A dusting of Dark Reign, a sprinkle of Standoff.
A crumb of Clone Saga, a unit of Ultimatum
Throw in some Avengers vs X-Men and some Reign of Doom and you got a soup going.
616 heroâs and characters from a universe which closely resembles the fox universe but definitely isnât (to avoid the screwed up timeline of those movies) and with doctor doom race to reach Loki in the TVA in order to use his powers to save their universes / create battle world
Thats my reckoning
Hoping my gut feeling is wrong and that it isn't a steaming mess.
It's probably Doom setting out to collect the six infinity gems so he can....errrrr that can't be it. Nevrmind, moving on. đ
12 rounds of reshoots and $2B in the tank if they canât get their shit together .
This set photo seems to confirm this plot leak from a month ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/s/wV1vtch2Sq
So, what do we think? Spaceship or TVA?
I'm pretty sure it's the TVAÂ
I think its the TVA, the golden yellow imagery and those patterns behind really match the TVA aesthetic, also the pattern behidn could be a nod to how Loki is holding all the timelines together
Yeah the location this image is from could be a new iteration of the room that overlooked the original Temporal Loom - which would explain that big window behind Wyatt Russell.
I donât remember seeing a single scene in Loki with a bunch of ovalish windows like that.
Seems to fit the vibe more of some of the tech we see in the F4 trailers.
It kind of looks like HERBIE though.
That's where I'm leaning too.
Spaceship. I donât think any of these three were thought to be in the group that goes to the other universe.
Why am I suddenly afraid for Falcon? Not for the Thing and not even for John Walker, I just got a bad feeling about Falcon.
Falcon is probably the most expendable of any of them with barely any development or backstory, just flies, no fanbase or connections beyond Sam. On paper he's dead meat.
Which might actually keep him safer longer then other bigger characters because it would be too obvious for him to get killed first.
they are not going to kill a character that just had a near death experience and was hospitalized in their last outing. He'll probably be played like Clint was in AOU where the movie keeps toying with the idea of killing him off as a misdirect.
Whoever dies in this film will carry some weight/consequence......My bet is on Wong, probably. Gotta set the stage for Strange finally becoming Sorcerer Supreme and the third film. And honestly if it's not Wong nobody HAS to die.
Realistically it's likely no one will die they'll just "lose"
I donât think nearly enough people would give a shit if (current) Falcon died. Heâs been in one under-cooked TV series & the worst Captain America movie - why would they even waste a single emotional moment on that dude?
Edit: holy shit I didnât think there were actual Falcon fans out there. Why didnât you go see the movie he was in, then?!
I wish all the bucky fans also went to see TB, but they didn't. How disappointing đ
Falcon in BNW was like a fast and furious reject, don't really care for this character..meh.
Why didnât you go see the movie he was in, then?!
I love how you say this in a photo with Wyatt Russellâs US Agent as if Thunderbolts didnât just do worse than Eternals
Iâm responding to somebody worried about Falconâs death. I 100% agree people shouldâve gone to see Thunderbolts, and would posture a massive reason they didnât was *because of Captain America.
John Walker had memes made about him for weeks after Thunderbolts. People donât even know new Falconâs name.
You brought up Box Office, I responded, and now its about critic scores lmao
I brought up box office as an easy dunk on people claiming they care about New Falcon. I see your point about Thunderbolts*, but I think itâs clear that one of these movies had audience staying power while the other did not - even if they performed comparatively at the box office.
I mean, if it made $381M (only slightly above Black Widow) with legs relative to BNW, I wouldnât really call it âaudience staying powerâ but whatever floats your boat
You know exactly what I mean by âaudience staying powerâ - as in, topical cultural relevance.
Denying reality wonât change the fact people who have seen both movies have a pretty clear idea of which one was great movie and which one was mediocre. Also, despite the box office performance, Disney handed the X-Men reigns over to Jake Schreier - pretty clearly signaling they approved of the films critic performance.
But, if you still feel the need to deny, I say you just wait until streaming/VoD numbers release and then try saying BNW & Thunderbolts are comparable.
Iâd be more than down to wait for the streaming and VOD numbers of the thunderbolts to further prove my point that the âcultural relevanceâ differences between BNW and Thunderbolts are negligible at best (even if streaming numbers and Nielsen ratings donât account for international audiences)
It's hard to say because the contol panel looks like it would fit in the fantastic 4 universe but it also looks very TVA . I'm leaning towards spaceship just because those windows feel very spaceship like .
Then again, the room does seem like some kind of security observation type of room
If this isnât the F4 spaceship itâs definitely the life raft ship from the beginning of Secret Wars 2015. They might end up just being the same ship. Weâll see a focused roster of heroes survive the end of Doomsday on this ship and make it into Battleworld for Secret Wars.
What's Richie doing outside the restaurant?
He wears (CGI) suits now!
That's his haunt
[Taylor Swift plays over PA.]
Yes chef!
Staying classy.
Mangia baby!
Well, he said he would have liked to be an actor
As long as there's a chance we get all the Thunderbolts back together I am totally here for thisđ
Stocked for Wyatt. Really enjoyed his presence in Thunderbolts.
Also looks like Black Panther's (Shuri's) boot in the bottom left
Edit: bottom right my bad
Bottom right, homie.
Yeah, it's surprising that they managed to notice such a incredibly small detail but then they got to placement wrong. No big deal just chuckle worthy
Her bottom left
Damn, good eye.
They're called sneakers!
Ramirez was the best part of Brave New World (his chemistry with Mackie specifically). I always root for him to get more to do in everything he's in.
I love the stupid beret so much.
This must be the TVA where they learn Loki is holding the multiverseÂ
Doesnât look like the TVA at all thoughÂ
Fantastic four ship
This is so fucking cool. The Thing and US Agent together. Glad they are keeping the beret.
Love seeing Wyatt Russell. Love Walker.
Walker figuring out what those buttons do đ reminds me of the thunderbolts post credit lel
US Agent: Oooh, what's this button do?
I'm so excited for some of these interactions. Those 3 are about to get so annoyed with eachother.Â
The thing plus John walker is a gold combination, can't wait
Oh yes! This is going to be absolute PEAK! MCU is back!!!
Iâm so hyped for this movie, man.
Ok I may be nuts but is that black panther in the bottom right?
Yes, it seems to be her shoes.
Falcon, The Thing and Walker - 3 characters from 3 different walks of the MCU⌠peak incoming. Also where is this image from?
omg yes Wyatt Russell.
This set photo seems to confirm this plot leak from a month ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/s/wV1vtch2Sq
So cool!!
Edit: are they inside the little fantastic four robot??
the beret is still here??
The Post-Credits Scene in "Thunderbolts" was directed by the Russo at a later date and is a part of "Doomsday" so that beret was their idea - hence I think it's safe to say that it will be a permanent addition to Walker's design.
TVA or spaceship?
Nice Micro will be in it? /s
Walker figuring out what those buttons do đ reminds me of the thunderbolts post credit lel
I hope USAgent still has his helmet for fight scenes and the beret is just a choice for chilling around the compound in between missions.
Walker is still hoping to find some well-labelled buttons.
Feige will never let Superman have his day
so many effin spoilers smh
Seriously this should not be allowed here
If people are gonna post spoilers can they at least not describe what's happening in the post title pls
Letâs decipher the set photo to find out where they are
Seems like thatâs already happened.
Someone's getting fired đ đ đ đ
Iâm so damn excited for this!
Hell to the yeah
Really dig the design of the ships windshield here.
Cousin is asking who called about the mold.
Walker still wearing that stupid beret. God bless.
Doomsday / Inside Out crossover event confirmed.
Damn it he actually ditched the helmet. I donât like the hat.
Wtf this is massive.
I'd like to see Ebon team up with Jon Bernthal. Maybe Ebon knows a thing or two about weapons that he can help The Punisher.
I just hope they let Joy back on the console.
I wonder if they'll make Ben say the Thing
Is Bachrach pronounced like back crack ?
COUSIN!
Are they in the Aluminum Falcon?
I'm an idiot and I forgot Ebon Moss-Bachrach is playing The Thing so for a split second my brain went "why is he wearing a mocap suit if he's playing Microchip?"
Cant wait for more Danny ngl
This confirms a three way team up with the Avengers, New Avengers and Fantastic Four.
Bruh canât believe they bringing back Joaquin lol
Just leave his mid ass in the hospital Sam
I hate that Walker wears a beret lol.....even worse that it's shaped so terribly and he's wearing indoors. Generally I can forgive uniform deficiencies especially in dress uniforms but gahdamn fix that beret. For some reason Hollywood thinks we wear ours like other countries....rant over lol
What an awesome lineup haha - I LOVE weird teamups
No OP you've ruined the movie for me now. I know they'll go to space!
Doomsday might suck. Iâm starting to think that, because we donât have strong connections to a lot of these characters, the chemistry wonât be there and the stakes wonât matter compared to Infinity War.
I just realized⌠thereâs an actor called Ebon Moss, whoâs a part of the MCU, a movie series that features a character called Ebony Maw⌠not portrayed by Ebon MossâŚ
Those odds ought to be astronomical
No idea who these people are.
What are you doing on this sub?
Randomly popped up on the main page.
saitama negs
Damn. I am still gonna watch but it just wonât hit the same, at least by looking at it
Could live with never seeing this version of the falcon again
saitama negs twiceÂ
Nice to see that they are using the outfits shown at the end of thunderbolts.
That scene was filmed on the Doomsday stages so makes sense.
Sentry fights in jeans and a hoodie confirmed. đ
It looked like he was wearing a bathrobe + socks and slippers to me lol
Even better! đ
Even better, Red Guardian fighting in the baby seal suit đ
And red guardian in a track suit!
That scene was filmed on the set of Doomsday and was directed by the Russos.
That scene was directed by the Russos and is most likely from the movie so it makes sense.
Is his shield still gonna be a taco
And all together on a Fantastic 4 Spaceship đŻ
Donât like that it means Johnâs rocking the beret instead of the helmet, not a fan of that change personally
The beret is great though
I mean yeah of course, because that moment is like when Tony is at Dr Strange's house or Spudeeman saving Tony, that moment will get things going on... so have no choice but to stick to it...
Pretty sure the Russos filmed that scene
