If I could change anything about Infinity War Tony would be wearing a suit similar to this one

The nanotech felt too magical and the poor cgi at times made it look like he was wearing a skin tight body suit.

Really liked the initial Ironheart suit with similar colors.

But the star boost armor would be a downgrade, since age of ultron Tony has worn suits more upgraded than this one. Or do you mean a suit that looks like this one?

One like this that was specifically designed for space use and more bulky in appearance.

I mean tbf Tony had no idea he would be going to space when he suited up to fight Maw. But then again he probably could’ve summoned a space-proof suit like he did the Iron Spider.

pickrunner18

That was the point of his constant upgrades though. He didn’t need suits for specific things anymore.

At that point the Mk 50 was the best suit for anything and everything. Blasting into space, fighting Thanos, etc.

The Mk 50 is space proof btw, as we see him literally fly to the Maw’s ship and laser into it, in space.

also tbf it would totally be in character for him to have a suit on the stark satallite just like the drones from far from home.

It could be sent directly after the Iron Spider suit, which I think is launched out of the Avengers compound.

It could even tie into the story. Once Peter is in his new suit floating on his parachute another rocket zips past, containing Tony’s new suit. This could even be the way Peter manages to get back on the spaceship.

You now have a situation where Tony’s new nanotech suit is established and then replaced 10 minutes later, I don’t hate that as long as it’s acknowledged. The second suit is more like extra material for the first one.

It wasn't designed to fight Mad Titan tho

Tony would be dead the moment Thanos dropped asteroids on it. I can't Iron Man getting a chance to do 1v1 fight with Thanos if he wore this in Infinity War

“It wasn’t designed to fight Mad Titan” well let him make one like this that lets him fight Thanos too. Just cause it’s more space-oriented doesn’t mean it’s not battle ready too. His nanotech one only let him go to space because the movie said so. If it’s bulkier than there’s the argument for “more protection” anyway

Solid-Move-1411

I meant Mark-50 superior strength and durability along with ability to create any weapon allowed him to

A lot of Mark-50 feats in Infinity War are well beyond the capability of his former suits

I think OP just meant the suit should look more space oriented. It can do all the Mark 50 stuff if the directors wanted it to. It would just look a bit different. He had a space suit when he was with the Guardians of the Galaxy in whatever run that was

  • Yeah in Gillen 2013 run although that's Deep Space Suit Model-45 which could travel beyond light speed, communicate hundreds of light years across and can sustain his body without food and water for months. In MCU, he took ship to Titan, he didn't fly by himself
  • His regular armor has shown to survive and breathe in outer space fine as long as he remains close to planet orbit.

The whole point of Infinity War was that they were all caught off guard and had to react. Tony didn’t have a space suit for a reason.

pickrunner18

Maybe everyone else was caught off guard, but not Tony. The Mk 50 is a space suit, and it was designed so he would never be caught off guard by Thanos’ eventual arrival. It’s his whole thing. That suit has solutions to every problem he’s ever faced

I already corrected you when I pointed out that you missed my point. Idk what to tell you from there, other than maybe pointing out that in disagreeing with me, you’re also arguing with OP.

I believe he means a suit that is designed for space travel. So instead of nanotech as mark 50 the suit would use traditional tech improvements, one being more advanced thrusters that allow the suit to travel to space.

Yeah OP answered my question, I do agree that the bulky suits were better looking. What about you?

bulky suits for warmachine are better however for ironman the slim suit should have a limit. Mark 50 did look like a clothing jumpsuit while 85 had better size.

Except the Mk50 literally had an advance thrusters which is how he chases maw's ship, when he says, "Friday, give me some juice."

I'm aware of the exact scene. The original post wanted a non-nanotech suit that uses advanced thrusters.

This is just a fancy space suit, while Iron Man with nanotech has been a thing for the character since 2006. It's his eventual character evolution.

I bought that suit in Marvel Heroes 2015, an absolutely awesome Diablo clone, made by an original Diablo and Diablo II dev, stacked with voice talent.

The suit I bought was blurry in game, I mentioned it in the official forums, and the person who drafted it in game replied and sharpened it to make it look great.

I had already stopped playing it for the most part, but I'm still sad disney pulled the license from Gazillion and forced them to close it, right before they put out that terrible Avengers game nobody played. Game was free to play, I probably spent more on it than any other game I've ever played and didn't regret any of it, whereas I usually refuse to buy microtransactions of any kind.

I wish I could extract all the voicelines, just to have. Every single voice actor was someone big in the industry and would be familiar to anyone who has ever watched cartoon or anime or played high profile games (Tara Strong, Nolan North, Steve Blum, so many more). There were at least 50 playable characters, and each was unique.

Huh, I've never seen it referred to as Gemini before, always Starboost

I wish MCU explored the concept of Tony having different suits for different situations. In the comics he has a separate suit for underwater missions, a separate suit for space. We got a glimpse of it in IM3 with the Iron Legion and the suit case armor in IM2. But over all it felt like after Avengers Tony wore the same suit with a new coat of paint and what primarily changes was how he put on the suit.

TheMurmuring

As an Iron Man fan, I would have loved 8 seasons of Iron Man on TV, exploring different suits and springboarding off of more of the comics in more depth. But speaking objectively, I can understand that most people don't have that much interest. Some people have complained about how much screen time Tony has in the MCU anyway.

for me interms of main stuits its either mark 7 from Iron Man 2 or Mark 43 from age of ultron.

Though if we are including side suits then Red Snapper, Heart Breaker, and (though Rhody may not like it) Iron Patriot are some of my favs as well.

Less nano tech more chunky pannels please!

Yeah, if he hates nano tech being similar to magic, I'm sure he will love a suit literally powered by magic lmao

TheMurmuring

The nano suit was an emergency gadget, like the suitcase suit from IM2. Its small size was because it was literally kept in a tiny gadget under his shirt. Because it's not magic, they couldn't make it inflate to the size of a full suit. It was a compromise, probably heavily influenced by Pepper, a minimum amount of emergency security instead of building an armory full of suits. Him getting rid of all of those was a big theme in IM3.

I liked the nano tech evolution showing how he had gone from a box of scraps in a cave to something basically indistinguishable from magic. It was a constant forward progression and growth.

Man I totally remember rumours for age of ultron that had Tony going to space in this suit at the end of the movie and getting lost there. Was disappointed when it didn’t happen lol

Anything besides the nano suit. It just lacks creativity to me if it is basically magic.

Yeah, nano tech is a bit of a cop out. But it was cool as hell and still believable enough for me.
