Why does the street have two names? Isn’t that confusing?
Many, many streets are given honorary names in US cities. Apps/Directions all use the standard name. The honorary street names sometimes gain nickname status and are used in conversational reference.
Haven’t seen that before. I think here they just change it to the new thing.
And in Florida's Palm Beach, they just renamed Southern Boulevard to Shithead Street.

The signs from the photo are on a temporary post that's not on the concrete of the sidewalk. Probably mocked up for the ceremony, as NYCDOT probably won't rush job official street sign in time for the movie.
When the official sign goes in, it will be below the Essex Street sign. The Yancy Street one will go below the Delancy Street sign.

Dude. Revisionist history much? Stan always shared credit, everything was "Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby/Steve Ditko/whoever." He wasn't Bob Kane, who famously created "a guy called Bat-Man who fights crime," then Bill Finger came and laid down all the details before getting squeezed out of credit for like 60-80 years.
It's not a black/white issue. Stan absolutely tried to take credit for things that others deserved credit for, mostly earlier things but also later ones such as Claremont's X-Men, and then was dismissive when called out on it. But he also wasn't Satan. He was just the company's mascot at a time when Marvel really needed one.
