Battery 100% at 6AM, 3% by 10AM on the couch
My battery is under 5% most of the time

And at this point, I need to sleep on my couch to recharge again
First you laugh, and then you become a father yourself and don't realize how you got the same couch hole as your dad at home
legit. I used to wonder why my old man fell asleep on the couch all the time. Now I know. Full circle
And then when you change the channel, they suddenly wake up and say they were watching it

This is my wife, but she also tries to claim she doesn't need more sleep. Goes to bed around midnight, up around 630 on even the weekends, but then is passed out on the couch by 1030 on the weekend.
Also in front of the TV, you want to turn it off and you hear: I'm watching !!!!

Agreed, this has nothing to do with being a man or having kids. You just get sleepier as you age. It’s weird, but I do appreciate the 9-10 hours of sleep per night.
But the slightest rustle nearby and you hear - can't you keep it down, I'm watching TV
You young'ns will eventually understand how good it feels to knock out most of your to-do list in the morning, eat lunch, take a quick nap, and then wake up with lots of daylight left to do whatever you want. It's like getting 2 days in 1.
My parents used to do that all the time. They would mock me getting up at 8-10 because they were awake at 6. But would also take an afternoon nap and got to bed at 9p.m
If you turn off the TV discreetly, you have a chance of staying alive
And that too when news is going on on TV and when you turn it off he wakes up and says "he's still hearing the news" .

Earlier today I was making dinner and having my dad help a little, he sat down on the couch and immediately fell asleep, no help for me anymore
Not wrong, though. He woke up, he just didn't stay up
I never understood being able to fall asleep anywhere until I had kids and now any chance I get for a snooze it’s happening.

This was pretty much my mom every weekend movie night. I started understanding her when I began working those hours myself three years ago.
And then the ol lady tries to get some as if I don't have to wake up in 4 hours
