I use the plastic silicone wafer box it came in as a coaster lol
Nice. At least the plastic isn't wasted. I got mine displayed next to my little 9950X3D box. AMD definitely prefers the minimalist approach.
I love my 9900k box. I still have it even though I use a 7800x3d now.
I've been eyeing that upgrade.
Just get the 9800X3D if you are swapping platforms. It's a little bit more expensive but it's worth it

Mine sat around for a year or so before I tossed it. Neat packaging, but we really didn't need the plastic waste. The CPU that came in it has been running for 6+ years though.
It's called the biggest reason I went with the 9900k over the 9700k lmao.

I can remember when the intel cpu stickers had the architecture of the cpu you purchased was on the sticky side of the sticker. Shame they dont do it again for old time sake.
I wish they would lol. At least do the cpu tile back there.
the 9900K box was the best one IMO. I absolutely loved my 9900K, only Intel desktop cpu I have used lol

The 8086k chest was peak. The coffee beans in the jar were fun too. Still have mine somewhere.
Pentium III and 4’s boxes were the best

1st gen i7 was where it was at. First ever 6 core 4,5Ghz CPU.
I still have my i7 920 in my old PC, but it's been unplugged for a while of course.
just saying but a xeon chip for lga 1366 goes for cheap and overclock nice
