Dual purpose monitor-riser and PC cool assist. I love the ingenuity.

Wire up some PC fans.
Attach it to the bottom of the crate pointing up and position them to the hot spots of laptop.
Put some standoffs under the laptop so its not sitting flush and air can move past it.
Profit.
... it's actually a good idea because it brings the screen to eye level.
Though I feel the keyboard's table needs room for wrist rest.

I remember getting a load of coasters, beer mats and game cases to prop up my laptop.
It works and since it works you don’t mess with it.

It's not bad really. If he used a black crate and threw some RGB lights in he would have achieved a proper gamer aesthetic.
It's the old school gamer aesthetic. It's perfect as is.
