Gen 4 Baby Pokemon
I know that from Gen 8 onward, baby Pokemon appear with or without the incenses
But I’ve encountered a few in the wild and I’m curious if there’s any that are wild only and can’t be bred, as I’d prefer all my baby Pokemon to be Level 1
the only pokemon that can't be hatched from eggs are legendaries
not baby pokemon, no. All baby pokemon evolve and all the pokemon they evolve into c an breed
Am I more likely to find a shiny Heracross in Legends Arceus or in Scarlet/Violet?
If I like: 1) relatively normal/hard difficulty, 2) fast in-game battles (like how Platinum is faster than DP), and 3) characters that act a little bit more mature, which of the 3ds games do you think I should play?
X/Y, ORAS, S/M, or US/UM?
US/UM for sure.
The X/Y and OR/AS games are considered the easiest in the entire franchise, so you won't really be challenged with them. Plus the characters are a bit one-dimensional and overly friendly.
US/UM is closer to what you're looking for in both regards.
Yeah, I heard there was a tonal change after gen 5 with the games becoming more "friendly" or "softer" to the player. I'll go USUM if it retains some challenge, thanks.
I wouldn't say the characters are "mature" by any stretch, but Ultra Necrozma is notoriously difficult. Arguably the hardest final boss in the series.
What's the Typical Paldean team? I know Sinnoh has memes about it's own typical team.
The reason why Sinnoh has those memes is because the games have a handful of very popular/useful pokemon introduced near the beginning of the game. Your average player is not going to be incentivized to swap them out for other pokkemon as they go.
Most of the other games provide a good mix of pokemon that become progressively more useful as the game goes on so players end up with much more varied teams.
Paldea is a contender for the game with the most pokemon variety as well as the most player choice for exploration; players won't end up using the same teams as other people nearly as often.
tl;dr: there isn't one for Paldea, really
And if you had to pic from the starting area?
Am I able to catch spritomb in ultra sun and ultra moon
It’s not catchable in any of the gen 7 games, only through transferring
That's a shame I dont have bank
you can always add one to your save file via pksm (or just pkhex if you're emulating)!
what game should i get for my first game, sword, violet, or legends arceus?
Pokémon Sword, it is still relatively linear so you can’t get too lost and has a good variety of Pokemon to use. The Wild Area is good to help get your feet wet for the more open nature of Legends: Arceus and Violet.
thanks!
I got two ranger games 1 and 3 on their own to me. Any tips to know if they are fake? Through I may just keep them in order to save money for my mystery dungeons
Also where’s good place to buy Pokémon games? The older ones
Thanks
Oh cool thanks
Why do people in the trading sub section on discord act so strange? Im in other trading servers and everyone acts normal when I dm them. It's like a 5% chance I get somone that acts normal
Why isn’t gholdengo an option in the user flair section?
why is my new post awaiting moderator approval?
Possibly because you have double posted. Also possibly because you have not asked them in the mod mail at this link.
it looks like there are two copies of the post, but both are waiting approval
Which pokemon game would you recommend for someone who enjoyed Let’s Go but didn’t like Go? I gave Scarlet/Violet a try, but the open-world just felt too empty for me.
I’m the kind of player who kinda enjoys structured exploration. I used to love uncovering fogged maps and checking every corner as a completionist. SV didn’t really scratch that itch. I often found myself wandering aimlessly, or going back many times just to check. To be clear, my main concern on SV was more of its open-world design feeling lifeless, and that's what made me drop it.
Any suggestions for a better fit?
Maybe Legends: Arceus, the region is divided into five major areas that are gradually unlocked as the story progresses. Though the main focus is on completing tasks in its Pokédex, thankfully the “formal” requirement for finishing the game just requires you to catch all Pokemon.
How to tell if my White version is European or American.? Cause I wanna use an Action Replay and I don't wanna click on the wrong button and mess it up.
The action replay for black white works for both US and EU game
Yes but I won't know what will I have to click on the AR
If you have the cart, the code should have USA or EUR on it
When should I evolve my Kirlia in xy? I probably will get the stone to evolve it after level 35 so am I missing out on gallade move sets?
You can evolve at any point, at Dendemille Town there's a Move Reminder. If you need Heart Scales, go fishing with Old/Good Rod in Cyllage because Luvdisc are common and often have Heart Scales you can steal with Thief/Covet.
Can I beat Ultra Sun/Moon, without evolving all my pkmn team? I would like to have an anime/manga experience, when not every pkmn of yours is evolved
Hit B while the evolution animation is playing to keep the pokemon in the same form.
is not what I'm asking, I'm asking if is too difficult/possible/impossible
Sorry bout misunderstanding. (Saw this yesterday but did not want to hit your inbox till you got a proper answer.)
no problem :)
The totems are pretty difficult. If you don't want to overlevel too much, you'll be having a tough time with the later ones like Mimikyu and Ribombee. Ultra Necrozma is also going to be a huge roadblock for you.
I wouldn't say it's impossible, but you'll need to be thoughtful about your item usage, movesets, and pokemon choices for these.
thank you
Hello everyone, i want to know the difference between “traded” and not traded
i hope yall are doing great i have a question because im confused about the whole pokémon will not obey you system, like what are considered traded and what is not. Im asking because i want my pokemon to accompany me in different games and would like if someone could explain it to me. On a side note does event pokemon considered as traded? (Zygarde for reference) For example if i catch a neceozma in SWSH and transfer it to S/V does it register as mine or as “traded/outsider”
On your trainer card there is a number called your trainer ID. The pokemon you catch in the game have a number that matches it. Pokemon traded from another game have an ID unique to that game that is how it tells if the pokemon should obey you.
Here is more detail on the topic.
Thank you very much
Do you think GameFreak will react to the game Aniimo in any way?
No. But the Pokemon Company will.
Can opponents in USUM see what items you have? When I was doing a Primarina solo run in ultra moon, if a particular move my opponent had was giving me trouble, I'd give Primarina the berry that reduces damage from that move. But when I went into the battle holding the berry, they never used that move on me.
Example: totem Kommo-o always used poison jab, but if I had a Kebia berry, it always used thunder punch
The AI will prioritise using the move that does the most damage to your Pokemon. Since the Kebia Berry no longer makes Poison Jab Kommo-o’s best damaging option, it will instead favour Thunder Punch (since Primarina is immune or resists Kommo-o’s STABs).
So the AI literally runs the damage calculation to pick their best move instead of picking the most effective move with the highest base power? Damn
If you're asking if the AI cheats, then yes.
Is it known if any other emojis will be added to this sub ? Went to put a Furfrou one on my flair but its not to that gen yet 🥀 if this is the wrong place to ask, pls lmk
