Man, fuck Ryan. Using Mark as a bargaining chip like that is so messed up.
I'm excited to see Jun's crush on Mark play out.
The Belly is neat, I hope to see more adventures happen down there.
And that last page... Are we going to see Zordon next issue!?!?!?
I don't like how they're portraying the VR Troopers so far. This is the first time the characters have been used in decades, and this is how you want to introduce them?
I’m really hoping the miniseries will have them turn on the Eltarian Empire by the end
They more than likely will, but I fear the damage has already been done.
Now that they've gotten their powers I'm sold on this idea that Rangers are treated as terrorists by Eltar. It puts real stakes into their secret identities that have never really been there before
I kind of wish their identities were kept secret for a while for some high school hijinks but being known and wanted immediately is definitely an interesting new dynamic
I get the vibe that their identities will stay secret with the VR Troopers thanks to Ryan, only for something bad to happen that makes them unable to rat, so I think we'll get to have some secret identity hijinks
Been loving this series so far and this issue was no exception. So many different ways they can take this as well, I do wonder when the eventual green sixth ranger comes who will it be?
We already have several candidates like Ryan, Rita and Bulk which just speaks on how well rounded they make the supporting cast feel.

So what’s the deal with Rita in this universe? Is she good?
Not necessarily. I'd definitely recommend reading to find out but it's more of a common enemy type situation. We don't know yet how that will progress and how she will be aligned for the rest of the series

Time force cover is super cool.
It’s interesting to see the new solicitations start to tease the arrival of the green ranger, and I think this issue may have either teased who it is or set up a major red herring.
Are fans excited about the new direction?
It’s still kind of early compared to the rich history of the previous MMPR comics, but I’m enjoying it so far and I’m eager to see how they keep expanding on this world.
We don’t really get sales numbers anymore but League of Comic Geeks is user reported and it seems like more people are reading it now than they were during Darkest Hour (a pretty divisive event). It also seems like numbers have gone up a little more recently since the story is picking up some steam
Just a casual observation from quickly looking at the number of pulls
Talking with the guys with my LCS chain (one of the bigger ones in my city), and he revealed that while the delays for Prime was definitely frustrating. It didn’t slow down the sales, actually it seemed like the delays allowed readers to catch up on their own pace lmao.
Today was the first time since issue 2 where Prime was delivered on time instead of a two-week delay
The delays were mainly caused by diamond declaring bankruptcy which cause a bunch of delay issues, since boom moved to penguin random house, things should be better
Yeah, i figured that was the cause when they let the FCBD issue be the main one for May and delayed 8 to June. Honestly was such a good call for Boom.
I'm here for it. I think its unique and seems like she's really making it her own. Similar to how I felt with Parrot taking over after higgins. It probably helps that I'm watching Metalder right now too, and seeing the VR troopers is expanding the saban era without relying on MMPR
I definitely am. It's very fresh while still honoring the past, and the characters are, imo, really well written
Giving it a chance, but don't think it was worth giving up an entire continuity for.
That's Aurico's sword the T-Rex Zord is chomping. Why was it even there? That team were aliens, they wouldn't have a reason to be on Earth.
With Mark being a refugee from Aquitar, I think the Eltarian Empire also took over Aquitar and defeated the rangers there too, then they brought the sword to the museum which has a lot of other ranger paraphernalia.
Is that the delta megazord in the Akira homage cover?
No it’s just the Time Force Megazord Jet Mode, where all the individual Time Flyers combine.
Kind of funny to think that Lucas and Trip have to get in it sideways though haha
I’ll find a way to read these eventually… these covers keep bringing me back

The upcoming premise looks interesting and I for one have no idea how the story will progress, which is great! Lots of stuff nowadays is quiet predictable. I just wonder what cameos we will see and how / if other mmpr characters will be implemented?
