Were they originally going to have Tor as Tommy's Thunderzord since the Zord was green?
No. Thats just the thunder megazord cockpit. Tor has about as limited of footage for a toy you could get. It only showed up for like 2 episodes.
No they weren’t going to give the badass Ranger a Carrierzord.
Also the concept artwork for “Zyu3” had a White Tiger zord. They already decided on Tommy becoming the White Ranger before they even decided on adapting Dairangers mecha
Um, where are the "present" images? It's mostly Mighty Morphin and one Ninja Storm image.
Also, I’m trying to find the “rare” images. I’ve been looking at these same photos for 30 years now.
Cool, but it is funny that every pic is from S1 or early on S2 and just 1 pic from Ninja Storm despite the title of the post.

15 is tough. Actors/stuntmen would just goof around and make better pictures than professionally made shots of the term

Idk, why else go through the effort of taking photos in and out of costume in that cockpit, tor is green which matches with Tommy's aesthetic, I don't think it's completely impossible that in early production of season 2 if only briefly they toyed with the idea but figured that that the footage is way too limited for tor. Then Tommy would eventually lose his powers for good, Tor would still be around as the dragonzord was after his last departure and a new white ranger would be introduced which was originally going to be Ryan steele's actor before they flipped his and JDF's roles around. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes and we only know a fraction of it, at one point they considered making upgraded dinozords that could combine with a newly designed tiger zord but then opted to go for the dairanger zords. The gold ranger went through some various candidates before they pulled in ASJ at the last minute. The lost galaxy pink replacement was going to be Cassy but changed last minute to karone.
Right. They had considered upgrading the Dinozords alongside the White Tigerzord. The decision to have the White Ranger was made before they even decided to go with the Dairanger mecha. At no point was Tommy ever going to pilot Tor
Yes the decision to have white ranger was made early I'm not denying that, all i'm saying is it's possible that if only very briefly they may have considered giving Tommy tor before introducing white ranger as green does stick around for a while at the beginning of season 2 but they may have decided not to due to limited footage.
