Close. It's an M50B20. US didn't get the 2.0, bit Australia and Europe did. Makes getting some parts difficult, but the 2.5 is pretty much the same.

Radiator, oil and fuel caps are some of the most overlooked regular maintenance parts.

I've replaced fuel cap (and door hinge) just have to do the rad cap. Thanks for the reminder.

How on earth could an oil cap even wear out? I can’t even think of a car part with less need to be replaced frequently.

I imagine it doesn’t hold true today except on parts from that era maybe

The little things are always important, without a them most of us wouldn’t finish the big things

Exactly. It's 0530 and im in the garage for 30 minutes before I leave for work and I'm installing the oil cap, applying touch up paint to a minor rust repair and laying out the front grill and all its fasteners.

Might not do anything more till next week, but that's how it goes.

My favorite small repair was replacing the broken passenger blinker lens in my grandad's 1989 Ford F150. It had been broken for about the past 25 years, and I finally replaced it with one I found at my local scrapyard.

That would have been satisfying.

We don't have wrecking yards where I live. I mean, there are some at a 6 hour return trip away, by you don't generally just turn up and ask for a part, and you can't wander through the yards.

You ring in advance and ask for the bit. They will generally post it to you.

That's where I'm at with my project. A bunch of little shit.

I've got bigger shit to do, but the wallet is light until I do my tax at the end of this month.   Till then, the little things make a big difference.
