I loved Bonnie so much. She really got a lousy ending in a stupid fight with Roseanne.
I mean, she was a GREAT friend to Ro. Those seasons, the ladies really bonded so well.
The Mother's Day episode is my favorite in the series, because it's just so chill. No drama. And when Bonnie unleashes those pipes at the picnic table, look at the cast. It's genuine awe.
Do yourself a favor and go on a Spotify Bonnie Bramlett rabbit hole.
Man I loved her so much. They should’ve found more story lines that involved her because she was one of my favorites in that time period. Bonnie and nana Mary!
saaaaame! throw in anne marie as well
Would have loved to see them all go bar hopping
I can hear this screenshot. I stop everything to listen to her. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
right? just this screenshot gives me chills, because i can hear her voice! 🏆🏅👏🏼
i just got chills, too. fell in love with this song/this version of this song with this scene
I never skip “Scenes From a BBQ”, always play that episode entirely
I always wished they did more with her. Now as much as I loved Nancy Bonnie should’ve been the 3rd or 4 partner in the diner.
This might be the first time I've seen someone say they loved Nancy. I'm not a Nancy hater. Just sayin.
I agree... not a Nancy hater, but I could do without her character. I just for some reason, didn't connect with her...now Bonnie? Loved her!
She was such a pill
Loved Bonnie …I really wish they would have had her in a few more storylines, or at least had her come back now and then. Not sure why she couldn’t have worked at The Lunchbox!!
Bonnie was so warm. Usually a lot of the singing eps or parts I skip bc I get second hand cringe but this is not one of those eps. Nor is the other (Bowling) with “Butch” errrr, David Crosby haha .
I have this episode saved on my TiVo box, just because of her and that ending! Every now and then I watch it for a pick me up. And, like someone else said, it does give me chills! I googled her once, too. Amazing 🤩 Never a big fan of Sandra Bernhardt either. Bonnie being a partner in The Lunchbox makes perfect sense! ❤️
Omg you're so right, Bonnie would have been a great part owner of the Lunchbox with them. I wish they had done that!
I read that the cast didn’t know she could sing during this scene. So the shock on their faces was genuine. I hope that’s true but you never know
I can guarantee you at least John Goodman and Roseanne were Delaney and Bonnie fans. They were huge.
She wrote "Superstar" famously covered by almost everyone including The Carpenters, Cher, Luther Vandross, among others.
Omg she did! Just looked it up. I can't believe I never knew that! What a talent!
Oh wow!!! I love that song!
Like everyone says, she was an amazing singer, but she also had her share of good jokes too. My favorite one from her:
"Him up there playing, and all these pretty, young women yelling, 'Get off the stage, grandpa!!!' I love him too much to let that happen."
Amazing vocals. I only ever want to hear her version of this song. Brings me chills.
I love that episode just for that scene.
Giiiiiiirl when she belts out this song…. Along with John Goodman’s reaction.. moves me every time. 🤌🏼
I love this song bc of how she sang it. (And love John Goodman’s face listening to her gorgeous voice.)
So pretty in her Mother’s Day sweater! Love you, Bonnie.
I remember loving her so much and thinking ‘I hope that I look just like her when I grow up’ now at 45 I do 😄
I just did a rewatch a few months ago and can’t remember how she left. I always liked her. Did she just kind of fade out? Was there any mention? Idk why I’m drawing a blank.
No mention she was just gone after Rodbell's closed.
Great singer. Wish she sang more than the two times I remember on the show.
I live near her hometown and the little City Diner has a burger named after her that is pretty amazing. This mother's day episode was always a favorite episode.
“Id kill for a man like that”
Bonnie: “thats how I got him”
Fantastic. Loved her. Always Thought it shoulda been her, Anne Marie, Jackie, and Rosie doing the diner. Bonnie was such a great character. Her scenes were all so warm and natural. Never felt like acting.
i missed it. when did she have a fight with roseanne and get written off?
End of season 4. They both wanted Leon's job, but they closed Rodbell's down.
I HATED how Roseanne acted during their fight. Bonnie worked harder, longer, nicer and was a better employee in every way, why shouldn’t she be the one to get the job?!
She did get one last appearance, though.
Yes.
I still get chills every time I hear her sing this
Seeing Dan in awe of her always makes me smile. Any episode with music, you could tell it really lit him up as a human.
THAT VOICE ❤️❤️❤️
She has a beautiful voice 😍
Immediate fast forward or skip.
I agree! I can’t stand her awful wailing that she calls singing 😖
Roseanne, here's $5. Take it to the roulette table and put it on number 20. Just let it ride until I lose.
What's the point?
I love the action.
Quote aside, I adore Bonnie! She's beautiful, funny, and man, what a voice! I love the scene in the diner where Jackie confesses she slept with Arnie. Just the fact that all the girls are hanging out makes me happy. And Bonnie really opened up about her past. Wish she would have stayed on, in some way or another.
There was so much joy and heart in those moments.
Plus, David Crosby
I wish Crosby had been a recurring character. R.I.P. David ♥️
Oh, so that was David Crosby. There’s a comedian Bruce Baum who copied his look. I thought it was that guy.
Yes! Bruce Baum was David Crosby’s clone. Both awesome guys. Totally understandable to confuse them, especially on a comedy show.
excellent quote! loved her
Oh for god's sake! People rob liquor stores all the time. I SLEPT WITH ARNIE!
