My dad passed away a few months after this episode first ran. I still remember him bursting out laughing at, “rhubarb with hair.” He was sick and not laughing that much. It brings a smile to my face to think that this scene brought him a little joy :)
Similar story with my terminally ill dad and Edie McClurg (the bingo lady Roseanne annoys) in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. After Steve Martin yells the flurry of F-bombs at her sweet face, she ends him with, “You’re fucked.” I had never seen my dad laugh so hard in my life. I was ready to dial 911. 😆😆
I actually liked a lot of the dresses Darlene tried on!
