Don't get me wrong. I still don't totally like her like she's still low on my tier list of Roseanne's friends and characters in general but there have been more episodes than I thought where I kinda like her.
Lol she’s vapid, but means well.
I like when she misjudges her new butt.
Omg I love Nancy so much.
I don't like Nancy, but part of that may be that I don't care for the actress who played her.
I unfortunately have such a hard time separating the actor/actress from the character 😭
Sandra Bernhard was of course villainized in the 90s for being a loud outspoken woman and out lesbian. She is a TRAILBLAZER and should been seen as nothing less than being that and who she was, authentic and unapologetic.
I like the first Nancy episodes. Later on she’s annoying
Nancy is the best character!! Sandra Bernhart played her perfectly. She was such an icon of the 90s!!
Nancy also underwent a substantial amount of transformation and growth throughout the original series.
Sure, she had some missteps with Arnie, early on, and she also could be self-centered and myopic, but, by season 9, she seems to have found a real core of self-awareness and spiritual strength (whatever that meant for her).
I am thinking specifically of Season 9's "The War Room".
Nancy was layered, and - beyond the humour and sardonic moments - I am sure it wasn't easy to be someone like her in the small-town Midwest of the mid-90s.
Her and Leon both, for that matter.
Dan didn’t like her, and I ride at dawn for Dan!!!
"Does this stroller make me look fat?"
I love the Las Vegas wedding with Nancy and Arnie. They’re so trashy and stupid and it’s hilarious.
