Cazorla, with all his injuries, playing at the top level for a longer period of time, than all Silva, Iniesta and Fàbregas is actually mind-boggling.

I have no doubt that David Silva would still be playing......somewhere if he didn't rupture his ACL in pre season training before the 23/24 season. Real Sociedad were expecting him to do a season or so and not play as much as he did, he was unbelievably good for them for 3 seasons.

It makes literally no sense considering the level of his injury.

He usually doesn't start from the few games I've watched. Definitely watching his minutes.

Last season he was almost never a starter but this season he did play 26 times as starter and 9 from the bench.

He had 1 good half in him, next year I doubt he will ever play more than half an hour

"I tell him that it’s definitely not OK.

At this point my girlfriend Emily doesn’t even acknowledge my existence. Xhaka comes in and gets me into a full nelson and drags me out of the room. I have been manhandled, ridiculed and disrespected in my own property, by people that I once looked up to."

He'll change his mind when he drags them to the Champions League spots

And then he will have to keep playing until 2029 after they win the Champions League and have to play the Cup World Cup of that year.

I'll never forget this short king fouling Yaya Toure to the floor and then trying to pick him from the ground with a smile. One of the most joyful players ever.

This his SECOND return to la liga after virtually retiring

There is something special when a player everyone thought was finished and who barely played at all in his last two seasons at Arsenal goes on to play 250 more games and is still living the dream as a legend at his boyhood club.

Brillian player, always liked him

Feels to me like there have been a couple of cases of 'presumably washed ex-star returns to home country/boyhood club and absolutely cooks' lately and I love it so much.

Rakitic and Shaqiri also spring to mind.

I notice football is changing for the better in recent years. It will be a slow process to revert decades of perversion though

Probably my favourite player I've ever seen live.

The man can casually do things with a football that most other players could only dream of doing at full-tilt.

Such an undeserving ending for his time with us and I'm so happy to see him continuing to ball out with Oviedo.

Go on, Santi!

Hopefully, he can retire next summer at the Emirates for a nice friendly match so the crowd can say a proper goodbye.

Almost irreplaceable. Where else do you get a player with that passing range, low centre of gravity, who can beat the press and ping a 50 yard ball on either foot, he was a cheat code

Probably the most technically gifted player we've had in the Emirates-era, which is mad when you consider that we've had Wilshere, Fàbregas, Özil, Ødegaard and others.

Phi_Slamma_Jamma

Yeah his ambidexterity is what really sets him apart. Dude had no weak foot whatsoever. Loved how technical our midfield was in those days, you'd get a highlight like this passing play between Cazorla, Wilshere, and Arteta at least once a game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB2wbFQcX3o

I don't think there has ever been another almost fully ambidexterous player at his level. At least I can't think of one off the top of my head. Having not one but two Ozil-esque or even better feet was surreal.

When he was with us I believe a lot of his teammates said the same thing, I remember some youtube videos where some of our players where interviewed and when asked who was the best in training or the best player / most technical they've played with a lot of them would reply : Santi Cazorla

Felt like our seasons failed when he got injured and got back on track when he came back. Amazing player. Also that free kick that got us back in that cup final horror story
