You mean he ignored the bookies advice and failed to take a break or set himself limits 🤯
The fun probably hadn't stopped, so why should he stop? /s
That is definitely the face of a man who placed over 6000 bets.
surprised he had enough money left for those veneers after all them bets
Well if he won all the 6,397 bets he placed then he could easily afford them
With teeth like that he must be cousins with Rob Beckett.
He won't even be able to bet on a horse race without accusations of colluding with his stablemates
Tough decision between the carrot or the stick here
Looks like a white Troy Deeney
why does he sort of have an AI generated face?
Nigel Farnsworth?
Maybe Nigel Thornberry.
Brain's going. I'm getting old
He looks like the Animorphs midpoint between a capybara and Gareth Southgate.
6,397 bets. Christ. That's equal to 1 bet daily for 17 and a half years
Or like 6,397 bets in a day
That's a bet every 13 seconds!
Or 6,397 bets in a second.
That's a bet every 1.5 ten thousandths of a second
And I thought I was addicted lol
Real life Nigel Thornberry.
Also, should pair up with Ippei Mizahura and his 19k bets in 2 years.
I understood that reference!
Here for the nickelodeon cartoon comments
6397 bets is fine and all, but what were the spoils??
He put a daily bet on a Bloodborne PS5 remaster 💀
PS6 launch title inchallah 🤲
All the comedians are coming out of the woodwork, but this is obviously a man with an addiction who needs help. Banning him is all well and good, but is he going to receive the help he needs? And are gambling sponsors going to be fucking banned? They're bloody everywhere in football.
I think, correct me if I'm wrong, gambling sponsors will be banned next season. But expect the companies to adapt them with some quirks and sponsoring other unrelated businesses - like their own brand of scores app.
It's shameful.
Judging by the thumbnail the winnings were spent over in Turkey getting those chompers done
He lost 20k lmao
How did he have time to play placing all those bets??
Having watched him play quite a bit you’d assume he just skipped training to gamble
I wonder how this started? did he start with one, realise he wasn't instantly caught and slowly place more and more? or did he just say fuck it and place bets everyday?
And here I am feeling guilty about buying a lottery ticket once a month
Ivan Toney:
Finally, a worthy opponent!
Bet he made bank betting against us
Oh good I thought with all the club names that he died..
Does make you wonder how much undercover player betting or even match fixing there is? Not necessarily on their team to lose but things like bookings, first goal, first throw in etc.
Probably not as much as conspiracy theorists think tbh. Bookies hate losing money and they have extremely robust technology for detecting suspicious betting patterns
He looks like a cross between troy deeney, Harry Kane, and jack grealish (or Nottingham jota, take your pick)
Good striker though, we never replaced him. That is an insane amount of bets though
The Reddit comedians making fun of a guy that’s obviously a serious gambling addict are pathetic. About 20 grand in the red and now banned for nearly 4 years
Soon no one will be able to joke about anything I guess?
More like Ryan Betman am I right
Wow
I bet he regrets gambling
So around 152 bets will get you suspended one month.
Wasn't this guy in game of thrones
I'm no expert, but I think he may have a gambling problem.
As long as they promote betting, they shouldn’t punish players for betting.
So I make that (42/6397) 0.007 months per bet.
Paqueta is charged with four(?) counts, so 0.026 months or just under a 1 day ban.
I'm not an expert in this sort of thing, but I think he has a problem.
"Bowman placed almost 2,600 bets from December 2020 until July 2021 while he was at Exeter and another 3,100 between August 2021 and July 2023 while playing for Shrewsbury.
👀😲
Bowman placed eight bets against Shrewsbury, with three while he played the entirety of the match.
He placed another six spot bets on himself to score during games.
In June 2022 he underwent heart surgery after experiencing heart palpitations during a game"
Well I'm not surprised
I have no issue with a man betting on himself 🤷 (unless its yellow card / gets sent off shenanigens)
Imagine if a player bets on himself to score, he's on a 2 on 1 fastbreak and instead of passing to his open teammate for an easy tap in he takes a more difficult shot and misses. Easy to understand why it's a problem
Kind of a problem already with players getting goal bonuses, often helps explain the ‘omg why didn’t he pass there?!’ moments
Liverpool thought of that with Firmino's contract renewal. He got a goal bonus but also an assist bonus, which was actually bigger than for his first 5 goals of a season.
Might be a touch of OCD showing, but in FM every single player gets a goal bonus and assist bonus for the same amount. No chance it matters to the engine, but my headcanon is for situations like this.
Players have goal bonuses. Those same players would shoot for the bonus
I do agree with your point but in all cases so far (that I have knowledge about) the bet amounts werent particularly high.
And If you really want to make money and Influence a game that you are involved in, there are certainly easier ones that betting on yourself to score.
That Players dont square it even without bets happens all the time 🤷
uhhh
