Damn, first Mueller and now Modric.
KDB and Modric in Italy, we will be there
With King Scott
and Jonathan David
Scott Sterling I hope?
and nunez
Thank you Modric for your services.
It was a sad end but thanks for the memories.
Real Modrić
Makes it an even more insane achievement when you consider he was 27 in his first season for Madrid.
Respect to a legend
King
OP’s name is very fitting here lol
Thanks for everything.
Sorry you had to leave like that.
Come here Luka!
The end of an era, Real never really properly replaced KCM and it will show in the coming seasons.
And Luka, thank you for leading the Croatian golden generation to silver and bronze at the world cup. If Gvardiol was there in 2018, Croatia likely would have won it all.
Don't think prime Gvardiol would be difference maker. Biggest issue was Dalic playing in the final injured goalkeeper Subasic who was great whole tournament, and maybe some arguable referee decisions that resulted in first 2 french goals in final.
KCM>BBC.
I still remember that punt he made against United in 2012. That shot still gives me chills.
What a player as an arsenal fan I know he was top quality when he was at spurs.
Probably the best technical player we ever had, was devastating when he left but I don’t blame him. We got so lucky with having the odd world class player over the years.
Trent saw the writing on the wall and said “wallahi I’m out”.
Damn that's insane lol
Happy to have him. An absolute legend.
At least I get say I watched his last match for Real Madrid live 🥲
Goodbye GOAT! You’ve been a legendary player!
Legend, standing ovation
Gracias por todo Luka ❤️
All the best, Modric. the sight of you controlling the midfield with Kroos is something that Real failed to replace so far.
His transfer fee was definitely Mod than worth it
My Croatian king 😭😭 thank you for all the beautiful years you've given us.
Let us remember that Levy was praised for managing to get £30m from Real Madrid for Modric. Let us also remember that Spurs are being asked to pay £50m for Wissa as he approaches his 29th birthday.
Leaving on such humiliation it must hurt
Didn’t Madrid fans vote him as the worst signing when he newly joined.
How the turn tables
It was a league-wide fan vote brigaded by Real and Barca fans voting for Alex Song and Modrić.
No, we didn't. That was just a bunch of rabid trolls from every other La Liga team.
I think it was fan voted, but yes he had a normal season that year. Wouldn’t say he was horrible.
No, they didn't
Nope
Not to diminish Luka's achievements, but I'm taking Gento's 12 Leagues to 4 over Modric's 1 million Supercups all day.
We know this since a season ago. Real didn't win any trophy in 2024/25, so what's the point of this shitpost?
It's literally the same post as 2 months ago
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1kssfhp/luka_modric_leaves_real_madrid_as_the_most/
Because he is leaving after today?
It's literally a copy paste headline from 2 months ago, with absolutely no effort from the writer (from the site, not the user who posted it here). But I'm not even upset or surprised on the lack of critical thinking on Reddit 🤷🏼
Use your superior critical thinking skills and realise that this isn’t worth being bothered about
Mr. Critical Thinker, just think of this post as focusing a bit more on the "leaving" part rather than the records part. With your superior critical thinking skills, you might realize that posting this after someones last day at a club is in fact not inappropriate. And if a repost after 2 months bothers you, you need to a heavy dose of some grass.
The neck is furry on this one
Thomas Muller most trophies for Bayern, KDB most trophies for Man City, Modric most for Real.
Top 3 midfielders of this generation if you don't count Iniesta, Busquets and Xavi
modric is still top 3 if you include them
I honestly think you can make the argument that hes the top midfielder along with them and kroos.
But if someone told me modric was the best midfielder of this generation I wouldn't think thats crazy
2008 Euro 2009 Treble 2010 World Cup 2011 UCL 2012 Euro. Greatest run in football. Xavi and Iniesta are hard clear.
Making a final with Croatia is no mean feat either.
Modric won 3 straight UCLs ending in a 2nd place World Cup finish with Croatia + a Ballon d’Or win.
Visca Barca
Nah that Barca midfield ran circles around Kroos and Modric for years
?
Xavi and Kroos shared one season in the same league and Xavi wasn’t even a starter anymore.
The absolute bullshit you read on here.
Modric most champions leagues of anyone
