I use a 5 pounds dumbbell for various doors when it's windy. I mean, if it works and it's cheap...

all fun and games until you accidentally kick the dumbbell. (yes i’m clumsy)

It's kind of small, covered in bright pink foam (my fiancée Yoga dumbbell) and we always let the door completely open, so not in the way at all...and yes, I'm severly ADHD and 250 pounds, so I always bump into things...but not this one...

I wouldn't underestimate Big Milk Jug's lawyers though.

That's true. I definitely don't want to mess with big dairy. I heard their henchmen are literal bulls.

i use big coffee jars filled with loose change to hold my bedroom door open for ventilation, one on either side like how yer old man does it, with the window open the wind gets so strong it slams my door shut.

engineering at its finest.

It's a free solution, also upcycling. Props to the man.

Never seen a milk jug like that before but they sure look easier to stack than their American counterparts!

Costco uses this style, but yeah I have never seen one in a "normal" grocery store.

Costco. Square jugs are much easier to palletize and ship.

Yeah at work we use a bucket filled with rocks

It's such a common problem, it seems like door manufacturers would have come up with a more elegant solution by now. I can imagine two that would work right off the bat.

If it works well it's a fix. Might be unconventional but for this I see a win.

He needs another jug.

It's a three day supply of water that should be kept on hand for emergencies.
