There should not be a a comma in this quote.
This, OP. You wouldn’t want any regerts.

Go-Bots?
Go-Bust?
Really? Not a single letter?
No ragrets
Ragerts

No, ragrets
Know what i’m sayin?
depends on the angel that she wants it to be looked at from
Correct. An ellipsis is required.
I'm also part of tattoo subreddits, and was very confused why the whole tattoo community knew this quote from TWD lmao
The tattoo sub pops up for me too and I didn’t even notice this was TWD sub 😅 I’ve watched this show a billion times, my bad for not recognizing the quote!
If I were to get a waking dead tat it would probably be
Don't Dead Open Inside
Get it on both buttcheeks like how it was written on the doors
Don't poop open inside
Or Don’t Open Poop Inside.
I hate it when people open poop inside
lol! You know somebody did!
When I lose weight I will get the tattoo “Ain’t nothing worse than an outdoor cat thinking it’s an indoor cat”
I think the correct quote is “Ain’t nothing sadder”
Love that!
It was told to Daryl by the dude that got his neck bitten by Rick, my fav quote from the show!
I do not remember that at all, but I can see why that stuck with ya!
“Chokehold’s illegal”
I got a tattoo in a similar weight and size font ten years ago. The artist tried to convince me to go bigger, or more delicate of a font, bc she said the edges might blur and touchups would be difficult. She was correct. It now looks like it’s out of focus, and cleaning it up would turn the font into balloon animal letters. It’s not terrible but my advice here is ask your artist for advice on sizing and TAKE THAT ADVICE, haha!
I’m not a fan of getting writing as a tattoo but I love the quote so I’m getting this done instead later this summer.
Ooooo
unless thats not you its a bit too late to ask
I took the picture from Pinterest 😭
Her tattoo is at least grammatically correct, as your second slide has an errant comma after "mercy" for some reason. But her tattoo is going to age poorly, and the placement is strange. Small flowy script like that will get blurry and hard to read over time. Bigger and bolder is better when it comes to lettering for tattoos.
I would spend more time thinking about the design, get a consult with a good tattooist, and take their advice! Don't just crib someone else's tattoo, either. Go to any of the tattoo subreddits and you will find endless stories of people who found a tattoo design online, found a tattoist willing to rip someone else's work off, and ended up with a shitty tattoo that they hate. Most decent artists will decline stealing someone else's work, and the ones who agree may not do the best work.
Might I suggest you instead get:
"I'm Doing Stuff, Lori. Things."
or:
"Why are dingleberries brown? Just the way shit is."
its one of my favorite tattoos! dont get the comma after mercy though.
My over mercy my prevails wrath…
I’m sorry I couldn’t resist.
dont dead open inside
I love this.
Omg it’s so cool
“We’re all infected”
Omg I love this one
You should add “Lemme tell you sumthin’” before this quote
Omit the comma if you go ahead with this.
I think "Don't dead, open inside" would be better.
I love it
What's that one that's like "ate shit, got bit, fever hit"?"
Got bit, fever hit, world gone to shit, might as well quit
😆“Ate shit, got bit” 😂
It would be cringe in my opinion.
It’s hard in universe because Rick is in a position to deliver wrath…any random talking about delivering wrath, whatever that may be in a lawful society, screams dude bro cringe.
If you are okay with that on your body for the rest of your life, sure! Take the comma out though.
I personally find it cringe and think there has got to be a ton of other Walking Dead tattoo ideas that would be way cooler. If you really like it and want to get it at least take out the comma that doesn't even belong there.
Anyone telling others about their wrath is a dickhead.
Please, no 👎 with love and respect, no
I've always felt that quotes as tattoos were kinda lame but, it's not my body, so you do you.
We could awll get ALONG
I thought about getting this quote or "and yet, I smile"! I've got like 30 tattoos and I'd love to add a Walking Dead one
The “and yet, I smile” got old for me….
I think it's better than all the "dolor hic tibi proderit olim" tattoos I saw in the military.
What is that?
The leader of Alexandria writes it and shows it to Michonne when discussing the future of the community (that part is fuzzy) what's NOT fuzzy is its meaning.
In Deanna's context it meant "one day this pain will be useful to you." And in that context it was also beautiful. Two mothers losing children to the end of the world and trying to find hope.
lol would just be cringe as an average citizen
Text tattoos age very poorly (I know a few tattoo artists and they all recommend against it)
In ten years you’ll be saying “it used to say xxx but it’s faded a bit” every time you’re asked about it.
I recently got “we are the walking dead” on the side of my foot
I’m not super fond of this one. Most people that get this tattoo don’t have their mercy prevail over their wrath. I would however get a little mini version of the tree with the stained glass decals dangling underneath. But unless you have a reason to get this tattoo, I wouldn’t. Like someone recently got this tatted but they went through trauma with their father passing and were super angry, but found ways to deal with it and they related to the tattoo.
Overall, there’s cooler tattoos that tie into the fandom than this one IMO but it’s not inherently bad
Although the full quote is cool on the show, it's kinda weird IRL--especially in tattoo form--IMHO. I'd advise against getting a tattoo that includes the word "wrath." People might think you have anger issues, and you might regret it in 20 years when no one remembers the pop culture reference. Also, don't get it there if you do get it. I think Saddiq said it was a quote from the Quran or part of a prayer. Either way, Islamic religions believe in modesty for women, and that placement isn't exactly modest. I don't have a problem with it, but people who get the religious reference probably would.
He does say the quote is from the Quran in the show, but it’s not in reality. It’s from a hadith- a recorded saying of the Prophet.
“Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, ‘When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His book with Him upon the Throne: Verily, My mercy prevails over My wrath.’” Sahih al-Bukhari 3194.
Your point is still a good one and I think it’d be odd to get a religious quote tattooed on you from a religion you don’t follow.
Yes. It has I'm 12 and this is edgy vibes. But that's basically the entire Walking Dead franchise.
^ This.
I dabbled in the idea of getting an upper arm sleeve of gaming bits, because thats made up a large part of my life and how my friends bonded, but that quickly got shot down by the "what will that look like 20 years down the road?"
Depends on the games. No way in hell characters like Mario, Sonic, or Link gets forgotten about in 20 years and even so who cares? The tattoo would preferably look good regardless of whether you "get it".
Brb about to get a "Excuuse me princess!" tatoo
"My mercy prevails over my wrath."
People might think you have anger issues
What?
The literal definition of wrath is "extreme anger." Not everyone has wrath. If your mercy has to prevail over your wrath, that means you have wrath also known as extreme anger.
Do not get letters as your first tattoo IMO. They usually fade and look not so great, especially if you don't have a proven artist.
It's a good phrase. Could get it with some kind of pretty stained-glass type thing with it (referencing a key scene to relate to the phrase in show)...
Absolutely not. It's a really dumb saying.
Nothing wrong with getting that quote but the placement is dreadful. Go to a real professional artist and they will help you pick an aesthetically pleasing place for it
I think you should get a tattoo op that has genuine meaning to you, not what ppl on reddit think lmao. Just make sure it's done properly and yeah, no comma, always thought it was may mercy prevail over my wrath too?
No, this was some cringe-tier Gimplespeak in the show.
It will look dumb in 20 years. You won’t be able to read it
Lololol. Giving backshots like, “now you’re at my mercy” 😈
What's the point of tattoing a phrase where you can't see it?
Absolutely not, it’s basically tattooing an affliction shirt on yourself.
It should be strike first, strike hard no mercy.
What wrath? You are into psychology, you ain't John Wick. This is extremely edgy.
Cringe, don't do this.
Anything with me, my, or I in it is cringe. At least take out the my. That way, it's making a statement and not just talking about yourself.
Make sure to include, the pointless comma.
No, because when you're 60 your wrath is going to be comical.
everyone gets that one
Depends if you have a history of wrath I guess
No get a shitty aqua teen hunger force tattoo
Only get it if your mercy actually prevails over your wrath 😂
Got it😂
the people calling it cringe make me laugh 😆 nothing is more cringy than thinking things are cringe in my opinion. we are flesh bags living on a spinning rock for a few years- do whatever the fuck makes you happy.
do remove the comma though please haha.
In my opinion no, alot of people get this one in specific.
Yeah get a more unique Rick quote, like "I hear Nebraska's nice"
"Stuff. And Thangs."
I don’t mind having a popular tattoo 😌
I would say no but its your body and your choice. When getting tattoos you should really consider how you'll feel about it 5 years from now
Have you thought about getting the text "CORRAALLLL" instead?
“Rick Grimes” the one who lives
“Words” rarely make for a good tattoo.
It looks white-trashy.
Dunno why this is being downvoted, cos it literally does.
Any quote or scripture from a piece of media/pop culture has to be one of the trashiest things you can get tattooed, just behind Tramp Stamps, and just before the "cos why not" small tattoos like a star or a heart
No comma but I love this placement
Should get, instead, “Don’t Dead/open inside”
Maybe not as a tramp stamp.
I like it…minus the comma.
NO. Be original and daring, by not getting one. Carry your strength inside, don't be a bumper sticker. Go read a book instead.
Bruh….. don’t get an off center tramp stamp of a meaningless quote
Goes hard during back shots
Am I confused or is there a rouge comma in there…
I wouldn’t get a tattoo that’s generic. But that’s just me. I love the quote though : )
Quotes are dumb
I mean, if you think it’s true for you. Go for it.
What does that even mean? Maybe you wouldn't need any offering of mercy if you didn't have the wrath to begin with.
You know what, nvm. Some people are simply wired that way with aggressive highs to calmer lows.
No. Sorry. It’s a dumb thing to tattoo on your body but that’s just my opinion
Quote tattoos rarely age well.
Look your body your choice, but a pretty picture whilst it may mean more or less to you in life is always a pretty picture. A quote, wellll what was meaning to you will likely change with the seasons, healing, trauma, growth, regression, healing again, our emotional state, quotes that mean something, certainly changes. By 30ish we are usually wellll past clinging to cheesy quotes for meaning.
It’s cool and all, if you really want it, go ahead.
But, fine line often blurs out with aging as the skin changes, and I wish I didn’t get my fine line tattoos due to how the ink starts to smudge and get blurry with age, but once again that’s just my advice.
Overall, it’s up to you.
Its awful in about 8 different ways but tattoos are for yourself so if you like it that's all that matters
Honestly, I'm not really into text tattoos.
Watch that comma tho
Weird placement
I personally think its insanely cringe to put a quote like this on your body. But its your body and if you like it go ahead
It’s grammatically incorrect but a really cute thought
Just get “don’t dead, open inside”
No. Unless your a uber badass who is capable of extreme violence this comes off as cringey and edgy. Just imagine a 5'5'' dude who weighs 135 with this. Comes off as a little bit cheesey.
all Muslims will get a boner from it and will try their best to tell you that it’s a quote from Quran since they can’t stop shoving their religion everywhere
I plan on going for “JSS”/“Just Survive Somehow “
Check out my profile for TWD tattoo I did with this quote, might help with design choices🫶🏼
No, it's cringe as fuck.
No one cares we all know why you posted this
The comma after mercy is incorrect.
Doesn’t need the fullstop either, as a tattoo
Grammatically incorrect? Or was it just not part of the original quote?
Both can be true
