negan would've had her taken to the sanctuary (assuming they had doctors there idk I forgot) and still ended up killing glenn probably
They had Hill Tops doctor, the one who was caring for her before Negan took him.
at the time they still had his brother
I disagree about killing Glenn. He has a lot of regret about that after he found out Glenn was going to be a dad. I only see him killing Glenn if Negan had a sorta angry awakening about not being a dad and seeing this guy who talked back to him become one. But that’s a little out of character to me.
He’s not capable of regret.. that was more of a oh shit response because he knew now more people would come after him eventually (for taking a father away from a child before it was even born)
Negan earnestly asks for forgiveness that inherently means he regrets his actions. I don’t love Negan but I find him a great grey area character and relatable on how humans face something they know better than later in life. Obviously for most people it’s like “I should have teased people in middle school” not “I shouldn’t have forced people into a mass slave cult and killed to scare them into it.” He had certain ground rules “we don’t kill kids” “we don’t rape” (obviously he’d find the gray area even in those rules) but his goal was to not go too far kill in an unnecessary way. When he understood Glenn’s full story, he regretted it.
He raped those women every chance he got, probably every day of their existence as his forced wives. You can ask for apology but that doesn’t mean you regret your actions. Serial killers will apologize and cry tears in court to avoid the harshest punishment but those tears aren’t for the victim they’re for themselves.
“Once he heard the full story” he literally had the full story right in front of him, whether he knew at the moment maggie was pregnant or not. The group was like his family although not by blood, they were his family and were forced to be witnesses to it all. Negan knew this man was loved and had people who cared for him. He just didn’t care.
Negan would have taken her to Sanctuary like he suggested doing with Carl if Rick had to cut the kids arm off.
Glenn would still die and Negan would try to manipulate Maggie into being one of his wives.
The miracle 8 week baby would have brought them together. They would have named him Laurent and they would have lived in peace and tranquility thenceforth.

Give birth? She most likely would've miscarried since she was only a few months into it.
At that stage it would be still giving birth, if I remember the ultrasound showed a pretty developed fetus

Cinema magic. In a survival show with zombies they’re not gonna be 100% accurate with some of the medical stuff.
I recall that one episode where Maggie and Carol are taken hostage, Maggie mentions she thinks shes 8(?) weeks or somewhere along there, especially since she had a bout of morning sickness while being interrogated which, I know for a decent amount women, doesn’t go past the first trimester. I can’t imagine the time between this episode and the lineup was very long. So at that point she would’ve just had a miscarriage.
She was barely pregnant then so that would have been a trip
She was like 6 weeks pregnant so... not giving birth. Miscarrying.
I would think that if she were that visibly pregnant negan would have taken her out of the line up for the kid
Ya he may've pulled her to the side or put her in a truck somewhere. Then he'd bring her out after or take her to the Sanctuary as they had a doctor and meds. He did a ton of dickish things but I don't think he would've hurt a pregnant woman.
At the very least, he would never have chosen her to get the 'honor'...

What happened at Oceanside, I believe, was all Simon. It was either before Negan was running the show, or he did it against Negan's wishes (like he ended up doing again in S8, to a more extreme degree, with Jadis group). By all accounts Simon was actually worse than Negan. Simon I think was a real psychopath, evil.
Oceanside, Library, Scavengers, all got killed by Simon. Negan basically never destroyed survivor groups outright.
Negan specifically chose not to kill anyone at oceanside.
It was Simon who turned up and killed the men/children.
I don't think he'd remove her from the lineup. He probably just wouldn't have actually considered killing her.
I think glenn would of still died, if he would of tried to reach out towards her

People saying Glenn would still die, but not necessarily? Abraham was the sacrifice and Glenn was added because of Daryl’s outburst after the fact. Glenn may have still died because of his insistence on going with Maggie to The Sanctuary if that’s where she was going, but Abraham was the sacrifice. Glenn may have lived

Depends on how the birth played out. If it was a miscarriage, he most likely would have felt bad and stopped. Murdering in the presence of a dead fetus would take a truly fucked up person to be capable of that. If it was a normal birth, he might have still killed someone, but Glenn would have lived, because he specifically stated he spared Rick so Carl didn't have to watch his father die. A newborn wouldn't know their father was being killed, but killing him in their presence would still feel like a gross thing to do.
Tbh, killing anyone after witnessing a birth would take a truly heartless person to do that. His punishment likely would have changed from murder, to taking Glenn as a slave, Maggie as a "Wife", and the baby to raise as a Savior.
They killed like 40 Saviors, he was still icing somebody. In fact it's pretty nonsensical that he didn't kill everyone involved in the Satellite raid to begin with.
It was over 50 at that point. Aside from the Satellite Outpost and Fallback out post kills. There were the initial kills at the end of the herd trail, The RPG kills. The railroad ambush kills (where Eugene shows his oral skills). Carol's kills on the way out of Alexandria.
Tbh, Simon's coup should have worked for these reasons. If I were a Savior, I'd be pissed if Negan let this outpost-wrecking, existential threat of a group continue to exist. Killing two people is not proportionate. Negan's failure to decapitate Alexandria directly led to his downfall. It was already clear this was happening by Season 8 when Saviors were dying by the hundreds, but they all still supported Negan's dumb ass for some reason.
I did a count and the Satellite outpost + the meet up point battle reunited in at least 36 savior deaths. Combine that with all the other deaths before and after, there were around 59 dead before Negan did the lineup.
Years later when Negan and Maggie are talking, Negan mentions the outpost massacre. He claims that the people had family and friends at the Sanctuary who wanted justice. They also were questioning why Negan failed to protect them and so he had to set a punishment.
Very interesting take; and plausible. I enjoyed reading this one! So many possibilities; seems like we all kind of agree that Negan likely wouldn't harm a newborn child. I know we have heard some of their'/his "code" before throughtout the series.

I think Negan would still keep up his act and have Her be dragged to his RV forcing Glenn not to be there before killing him

Negan would take the baby and use it as a body shield every time they point a gun at him, knowing they wouldn’t take the risk. He’d also name it Negan jr.

Not for anything, she was barely 6-8 weeks pregnant. An actual baby is coming out of her. It would have been a miscarriage on the spot.
It’d be unlikely, Maggie was still in her 8th month out of the 23 months she was pregnant, so it still had a ways to go.
Well, considering The Saviors war arc was about 3 weeks in total, idk where you got the other 23 months
I think Negan was so wound up in monster mode, that the dude would probably have bashed Maggie's head in to put Her out of Her misery miscarrying, and to strike even deeper fear into our faves. No mercy. If the show really wanted to go obsidian dark, that would have been the way to go. There would have been zero redemption arc after that, either. Negan would have eventually been torn to shreds and fed to the undead.

He can say whatever he wants. Being on film about to bash Carl's skull in with Lucille is proof that he was one hundred percent about to kill Carl, if not for the rebellion and Shiva's timely arrival.
Carl was damn near a legal adult off by a few years in like our world so he was definitely more of an adult in their world bro was like 15 or 16 off looks alone

He would have either already had un-alived at least 1 of Rick's group or picked somebody there; at least one; and possible even still Glenn.
Or; he might have tabled it right then-and-there; potentially with guards at alexandria overnight - latest the next day.
Negan would have immediately taken her to get medical attention and have the delivery be conducted safely. We learned from later scenes that Negan has a soft spot for kids and cares a lot about new babies being born.
Is that why he was ready to smash Carl’s head in?
Have you watched the series? He rigged the pick with all the groups he encountered and always chose the most aggressive looking or most important soul of the group. He wanted to choose Rick, but didn't want to leave Carl without a father, so he chose Abraham.
