Jerry is my big brother who will protect me and make me smile and he can be trusted to protect the kids. He has the best smile, he is loyal as hell, and he has an ax. I love that guy so much, he is 100% my faaaavorite. Big awesome dude.
One of the few characters that always knows what to do for people. He’s all “protect the king!” When that’s what everyone needs. Then like - just standing eating snacks with Henry while Carol almost shoots Ezekiel’s door down so she could talk some sense to him.
He understands how the idea of the kingdom helps people better than Ezekiel in a lot of ways, & if he wasn’t there to remind him, it probably couldn’t have worked.
Also he and Nabila are perfect for each-other, they’re both such optimists. Her speech about burning the royal garden was like naming the direction of the whole second half of the show. “If you want it, it can all grow back”.
Honorable mention - Jerry is so irresistibly delightful that even psycho Simon called him “this likable gentleman” in lieu of his name.
