The Walking Dead - Proper Way to watch the show

DISCLAIMER - Dont read if you don't wanna get spoiled

Basically this is my better overall
watching method for people getting into the show and not be miserable , optional if you wanna watch the bad writing and boring parts for any new viewers. comment below if you agree, if you just watch these episodes on how I layed it out. you'll have a better overall viewing experience and tell other people about it.

Season 1 episode 1 Till Season 5 episode 11

(Highly Recommended, don't skip them)

Absolutely watch these episodes, highly recommend watching till that point and stop at season 5 episode 11, ending of the episode kind of makes it vague or Open ended on what happens with the group and the viewer can theorize what happens, I feel this is a perfect stoping point because right after they go into Alexandria is where the show gets bad, just overall annoying characters like Jesse's family , nick , Monroe family, absolutely do not skip these episodes, might be a few bad ones but mostly all of them are amazing. Casual viewers would have a good viewing experience if you tell them to watch these episodes and stop at a point.

Season 5 episode 12 Till Season 9 episode 5

(Skippable and wouldn't recommend if you don't wanna dread through the bad and long dragged out episodes, but you'll miss on what happens with Rick and Carl and the group, personally don't skip for me to get each character fully fleshed out)

These episodes are dreadful to get through especially the EENY MINY MOE part, it's hit or miss but it's really Rince and repeated storylines, this is where they introduced saviors and negan and a larger world with more characters and communities.but also this is where the show's writing takes a downhill turn, Saviors are Iconic and Formidable force but overstated they're welcome, these episodes just go on and on about how bad and awful the saviors are it's like we get it could you kill these guys and take them out finally it's like get to the point already we know Saviors are a huge group but they drag out way too long. don't mind hilltop or the kingdom and it's characters, I do like Jesus and Ezekiel , I think their good characters. I would only tell people to watch these episodes because they have Rick Grimes in it, and he is the protagonist of the show and you would wanna root for him to beat Negan and the saviors but tell them you won't be satisfied at the end of season 8 because they keep Negan alive, which was a really bad mistake and horrible writing , overall, I would not recommend to watch right after season 5 episode 11, till end of season 8, it's got some good moments in few parts and episodes but I'll only recommend if you root for Rick and main cast , Daryl, Maggie, Carol, and you gotta go through like 48 episodes of the Saviors, Season 8 All out war was kind of a fun watch seeing Murder jacket Rick again

Season 9 episode 6 Till Final Episode

(Do not watch these episodes, they were really bad and awful and could be avoided entirely, only watch if you're a fan of Judith)

I would only recommend to watch the episodes and sections showing Michonne looking for Rick, The whisperers and Commonwealth arcs are boring and awful to watch, awful characters like Magna's group and Negan are the main focus and take up all the screen time. These episodes will probably make you go insane and hate the show entirely, there is a few good moments in these episodes like Mercer or Beta and daryl being a badass but for me, just skip season 9 till the final episode for TOWL and watch a explain video on YouTube for a summary, just don't waste your time with these episodes they will drive you to Insanity.

The Ones Who Live

(Some what recommend watching The ones who live if you wanna see what happens to Rick and if you continued from season 5 episode 12)

It's only 6 episodes, they make it short and sweet, It's a bit of an epilogue to Rick's Story, Writing is all over the place but if you suspend your disbelief it's a ok watch, most of the time it's A Smut story between Rick and Michonne so if your not into that don't watch it. CRM are cool looking and have a good backstory but I would recommend to watch Plot summary video of The World beyond both seasons so you won't be so confused.

Overall that's how I would watch the show, it's a big show and better to watch it that way. I would also consider Fear season 1-3 and Daryl Dixon season 1, they're some what ok to watch.
