Central to the plot is Michonne finding Rick and Carl by following their footsteps but… don’t the walkers also leave footsteps?

Carol said there were warning signs, but were there actually? I didn’t spot any.

1) yeah agreed 😭

2) Walkers leave footsteps yes, but I think she locked into the type of shoes they wear and knows their gaits well enough to make it out. Those are her people, Carl is her best friend at this point, she cares so much about him and you can see it on her face.
