I find the character to be over the top ridiculous and the actor’s repetitive delivery tedious. He’s a one trick pony with the back on his heels leaning thing. He takes 10 minutes to deliver 1 minute of occasionally useful dialog. Ugh. The people that say s7-8 felt like an eternity are bang on. I stopped watching for the second time (while it was still airing) when I heard about the violence of s7e1. I eventually skipped the episode but continued watching. I think I’ve seen the whole series 3x now but believe it tanked somewhere in s6. Thoughts?
Negan is in my top 3 favorite characters of the series.

I agree, he’s got no redeeming qualities and gets boring after one season. It’s unfortunate that people like him for some reason so they made him stick around so long.
I find Negan to be an interesting character but his repetitive jokes are generally not funny. When he says stuff that isn’t about his nuts, he’s funny. ‘Father not the father’ was a great example.
Totally agreed. I enjoyed it at first, as it was an interesting persona he was pulling to meet his needs...and then he just kept going. There was no nuance, no growth. Just bluster constantly. It got old pretty quickly. I would have much rather he bring it out sparingly, so we know when he does SHIT IS GOING DOWN.
I love negan. Havent watched dead city but hes great all the way up to the end. That delivery when he sees the walker climb. What the fuck?! I still say it like him
