Yeah re scaling doesn’t really work, they’re meant to be just trained soldiers but they take out full on monsters and waves of enemies. Chris red field punches a huge boulder to move it roll over which must have weighed 100 tonnes.

Listen I love walking dead but Leon survived Raccoon City, was elevated to special services I believe and rescued the presidents daughter solo against an entire village and mutant parasite monsters. The first real level of Resident Evil 4 is pure insanity. I remember playing it back when it came out on GameCube and was just like what the fuck did I just witness.

I think the real question is, could Rick also survive RE4 and RE2.
He wouldn't last a day on lets say Raccon city, S1 Rick nearly got killed a lot of times and only lived because someone else saved him, and that was with an big group on his side... Now if we're talking about later seasons he could make it, survive for a few days but he has no chance against some of the bigger threats on the RE universe (anything that isn't a regular zombie)
Leon could take all of them at the same time with a knife, if they use melee as well. He only needs a handgun with few clips to kill all of them, if they're armed. Leon is just too much. TWD are normal humans with realistic skills and limits. Leon is supernaturally gifted in comparison. Leon could infiltrate Alexandria and kill ALL of the people there by himself, including Rick's group.

Sorry to all the diehard RE fans backing Leon, but math dictates Leon most likely loses this. Leon is probably more competent than most of these people, but if we assume that these parties are both fighting seriously, Leon simply doesn’t have the ability to multitask like 13 driven and coordinated apocalypse survivors (I’m going based on the picture presented by OP). And this isn’t just a randomised group either, this is a group who know each other’s qualities and strengths.
Leon may be able to take out a few, but as one person he physically doesn’t have enough strength or limbs to deal with Rick’s whole group.
It's not even worth discussing. Lol. I get Leon is a badass but everyone in this picture is armed. Even if Leon had a Minigun and starts left to right, Abraham, Sasha and Rosita all shoot him dead. If he starts right to left, Daryl and Carol have him easy.
And that's just if Rick is busy talking shit.
They're not gonna line up and just shoot like it's the damn Revolutionary War.

Leon is essentially John Wicks level of badass. A guy that quite casually can dispose of armed, well-coordinated groups. We only really need to look at the scene in the remake where Leon is trapped in that cage. Plus Las Plagas infectees retain their intelligence and combat skills and Leon took on a whole village, castle, AND island of them. The island especially!
Rick's group is dangerous, sure, and they've survived some pretty fucked situations. But they've never faced anyone even nearly as dangerous as Leon. He's just so far above them in skills and survivability. I mean, come on, about half the people in that picture aren't even alive anymore anyway.

Some of them; I haven’t played through every RE game yet, but I have played a handful of them.
Usually though his foes tend to be singular enemies that are durable through mutation, often with inhibited mental functions and usually on their own. Something Leon doesn’t regularly deal with are large groups of conscious and smart enemies who plan and react.
he does that during like the entirety of re4 tho. like hordes of tens and tens of coordinated enemies some of which have miniguns. i don’t think leon would fight them realistically but he could absolutely clean in a fight

He was able to avoid Bullets from the guy who sat across Coffee Table from him in "Infinite Darkness". Not to mention the guy who shoot him was B.O.Ws which would made his speed surpassed normal human.
He had ran across small armed army before in Damnation when he fought with Svetlana. Different is... Rick's Group is made up from Losers and Svetlana's Army is Well-Trained Army who know how to uses their guns at least 10 times better than Rick's Group.
He survives in closed-space surrounded by dozens of Lickers which it would have taken just 1 Licker to wipe out everyone in this picture above.
He also faces Krauser's Machine Gun at point blank range as well. And he did run in direction of Machine Gun in multiple part of the series.
Also able to avoid a direct knife thrown by a B.O.W.s.
He even fast enough to react in mid-fall to save himself.
He was shown to fast enough go toes with Zombie Dog when Chris' Speed + Machine Gun couldn't get the dogs.
His Motorcycle Skill is surpassed Daryl by 100 times.
Fast enough to counter those Invisible Inspect in under ground.
Fast enough to run across entire platform from one to another in matter of seconds as he did in "Degeneration".
Fast enough to parry Arrows mid-air.
His reaction speed is beyond any member of TWD could dream of. So logically, he would fast enough to avoid impact that group in picture could've done.
If you dropped them right in front of each other with Ricky's Group Heavily Armed, it's still a 50/50. Because Leon might be fast enough to hide behind the tree before the group could pull out their guns and he could pick them off one by one because his shoot skill is insane. He doesn't even need to look to shoot. He can still aimed on a Fast Moving Cart in the mine.
But if you drop him & the group in a field with Task to Kill Each Others.... Please remember that Leon massacre the whole village, castle and even Cities.

But again, that largely assumes that Rick’s group don’t know/prepare for Leon, which realistically defeats the purpose of the “group vs group” match-up.
You can’t put these fights together then create arbitrary limitations on one side just to justify your pick.

If Ricks group gets prior knowledge then so does Leon. Makes it easier for him.
I never said anything about not letting Leon know what is happening.
The scenario specifications are broad, but the assumption is that they are fighting and not holding back - they are fighting like they will die if they don’t. And while I don’t deny Leon is the better fighter, he simply isn’t able to deal with 13 sentient fighters at once - he will have to take his attention away from SOMEBODY.
Yet that same group couldn't handle The Governor, Negan or Alpha, at least when they where first presented and it took them years and the deaths of most of them to finally win those wars. If Leon where to go against those groups with no knowledge about it them he would wipe them on 1 day, with just a pistol and a knife, it would just be another day for him.

Leon is a Special Agent trained to combat B.O.Ws.
Not to mention physically, Leon can withstand direct punches from Tyrant that send him across the room and with zero impact on him. Daryl can barely stand up after 2 punches in the face.

Sad to say, most TWD Characters are intended for grounded survival horror. Rather then the action horror we see in RE4

If we're going by official story line... He would have just a Hand Gun and a Knife and few other survival gears like his Ninja Hook and a Lighter. Because he wasn't going there to fight anyone... he was merely order to find Ashley and bring her home.
The only time he ever gain additional weapons was after he take Luis' Gun and Ada gave him a rock launcher.
So he quite unprepared compare to Chris who often showed up full armed with all sort of weapons....
Speaking of unprepared... I remember my first play through Code Veronica in PS2. At one point, I suspect the game would switch to Claire and with a believe that Claire would be the one that ended The Game, so I dropped all weapons for Claire to prepare for last battle and I was HALF right. The scene did switch to Claire, for like 5 mins and back to Chris and it was right with Alexia Boss and all I had on Chris was a Knife!!!
So I have to restarted The Entire Game because I always overwritten my save.

Listen, I love TWD. I love Daryl. But that fight would be over before Daryl could even get off his bike. Leon is a one-man army that's dealt with far, far worse threats than a redneck with a crossbow.
He had a competitive fight with mutated Krauser.... Leon is peak human skill , reflexe and martial art skills
